In my ficverse, I'll probably be focusing strictly on the Quagmires and Baudelaires - but I'll start out with one who isn't either.
Katherine Marie Strauss
Known as Justice Stauss, she was born in 1935, making her 46 years old in 1981. She was engaged to be married back in 1962, but lost him to cancer. She also had a serious relationship with a slightly younger man from 1973 to 1976, but lost him to suicide. Since then, she has resigned herself to living her life as a spinster - until she ended up marrying Jerome Squalor in early 1983. The two fell in love with each other, during the events of The Penultimate Peril. She sincerely does care about other people, but has a tendancy to be flaky. She has felt extremely guilty for failing the Baudelaires. Shortly after marrying Jerome Squalor, the two of them decide to adopt Friday Caliban - and she also becomes pregnant.
During the events of A Jubilant Journey, she's in the process of getting three laws passed:
1. It is illegal to marry someone under false pretenses, and both parties have to consent to the union of their own free will.
2. You must be 18 years old to be married. No exceptions.
3. Judges are not allowed to ever play the role of a judge - be it plays, movies, TV shows, etc.
What are your thoughts on that, you guys?

I love what you've done with Justice Strauss in your ficverse. You've given her a nicely descriptive background, although it is very sad that she lost both her fiancee and boyfriend to death. The fact that she is a bit flaky is quite funny, actually. I also love the fact that you've paired her with Jerome, which I know I've mentioned already but that I think is great. They seem like they would be a really good match. I can't wait to see what their child will be like. I also love how they adopted little Friday. I like the laws you came up with, which I can tell you put a lot of thought into. Great job, Quags! *hopes you don't mind if she calls you that*

Thanks! Yeah, I don't mind Quags. Quigley Webster QuagmireParents: Rupert Quagmire and Lorraine Baines Siblings: Duncan (1968) ~triplet~ and Isadora (1968) ~triplet~ Date of Birth: June 20, 1968 Height: 5' 4'' tall Weight: average Hair Colour: medium brown Eye Colour: slate blue Occupation: cartographer Portrayed as: Michael J Fox He only appeared in one book in the series, but it's obvious that he and Violet are really in love. He also sent Violet a telegram in the following book - and Violet tried to send one back, but it didn't go through. Then, in the book after that, he reunites with siblings - and then they're soon swallowed by the Great Unknown. In my ficverse, Quigley is the most Marty-like of the group - and he was, in fact, born at the same moment as Marty of the BTTF Universe. His parents are Rupert Quagmire and Lorraine Baines, who both die in an arson attack. Lorraine leads Quigley into a hidden passage, though - leading him to Uncle Monty's house. Jacques Snicket becomes his mentor for some time, until he is murdered at the Village of Fowl Devotees. He occasionally communicates with his cousin, Brent Baines - who was shocked to find out that he was still alive. He later on takes off for Lucky Smells Lumbermill, until he finally joins the Snow Scouts. Due to his resemblance to Duncan, Carmelita takes an instant dislike to him - but the others are pretty friendly. He finally meets Violet on Mount Fraught. Out of the triplets, he cares the least about school - and, much like Marty, he has a tendancy to be late for his classes. He's also into hard rock and heavy metal - and, during the year that the Baudelaires are on the island, he learns how to ride a skateboard. He doesn't car-surf, though. He once expressed a desire to learn how to play the guitar - but, unlike Marty, he never was able to master the skill. So, instead, he took up a hobby of drawing maps - starts out with mapping his house, and then the town. While he's supportive to the fire-fighting side of the VFD, he never becomes an official member. Due to the VFD-connections, he decided to check out some Gustav Sebald films - but he quickly came to realize the the films were subpar and low budget. The leads him to come to the conclusion that the films primary purpose is to communicate messages to the VFD, rather than to providing quality enterainment. During what I'll call "the long year", the Quagmire triplets live with Hector. After being reunited with the Baudelaires, including Beatrice - the group decides to head to Hill Valley, California. It was the town where his parents grow up, but Rupert insisted on moving back east. Once in Hill Valley, Dr. Emmett Brown lets the group live in their mansion. Upon joining Hill Valley High School, he becomes very well-liked by the students - and, as sensitive as he can be, he will take no crap from the likes of Douglas Needles and Miff Tannen. Of the whole group, he is the most disliked by Mr. Strickland. He also becomes close to Zach Nelson. ~~~~~ Okay, I have a few questions for you about Lemony Snicket and Daniel Handler. In the ASOUE Universe, they seem to be two separate entities. I'm thinking that Lemony Snicket and Daniel Handler were both born on February 28 of 1945 - which is the same date as Daniel Handler was born in real life, but 25 years earlier. Do you think they should both also be similar in appearance? I thought of having one of them look like Jude Law, but I have my doubts on that.

I love the fact that you made Quigley's middle name Webster. It makes me think of both that old 1980's sitcom and the Dictionary. I can definately relate to Quigley in terms of school... I hated middle school with a passion, though high school was a little better. I always pictured Lemony and Daniel to have the same (if not similar) appearance. If you look at the photographs of them, you'll notice that they have a similar build.

Okay, I'll do Doc Brown.
Emmett Lathrop Brown
Well, he's mostly the same as he is in the BTTF Universe. He still has a doctorate in physics, and he really enjoys Jules Verne and HG Wells. He's a bit eccentric - and some members of Hill Valley think of him as a nutcase, lunatic, or crackpot scientist. However, they happen to be in the vocal minority - and he has quite a few friendly acquaintances.
He's been a member of the VFD, though - since he was a small boy. He is essentually the only Hill Valley resident to be a part of the organization. It was through the VFD that he met Albert Einstein, who was also in the VFD.
He does still have his mansion in the 1980s, and he becomes an unofficial guardian to the Quagmires and Baudelaires - who have all taken to calling him "Doc".
He is open to the idea of time travel, but has no plans to build a time machine. I think adding a time machine to the ASOUE Universe would make things a little complicated.
In the fall of 1986, he meets Jessica Hoffman - who is the great-great-grandneice of Clara Clayton. They marry in early 1987 - and, in December of that year, twins Jules and Verne are born to them.
That's it, for now.

Sorry, I've been meaning to read this for ages.
I really liked all the BTTF stuff when my Dad first showed it to me, and it's really great to be reminded of it all. And cross overs, my favourite genres, are always great. Very impressive.

Sorry I didn't get around to reading this yesterday! I love how you've added Doc to the ASoUE universe. Ever since you told me about your idea, I always thought what a great addition he would make. He just fits the profile of the typical ASoUE character. I also think it's great that he adopted the Quagmires.

Quigley = Michael J Fox = <3
I should buy the Back To The Future flicks. XD
Anyway, I kinda portray Violet and Quigley with maybe brown eyes (like my eyes, I love my eyes.) and dark hair. Black/brownish.

Thanks, you guys! Duncan Lawrence QuagmireParents: Rupert Quagmire and Lorraine Baines Siblings: Isadora (1968) ~triplet~ and Quigley (1968) ~triplet~ Date of Birth: June 20, 1968 Height: 5' 4'' tall Weight: average Hair Colour: medium brown Eye Colour: slate blue Occupation: journalist Portrayed as: Michael J Fox He's the eldest and most studious and responsible of the Quagmire triplets - and he often acts as a mediator, especially when it comes to Quigley and Isadora. He dreams of being a journalist for a non-sensationalist newspaper. He was socially awkward, when he attended Prufrock Preparatory School - and was afraid to rejection. He is prone to exaggeration, such as claiming that a month of attending Prufrock Prep is "a couple of semesters". He also hated the unconventional teaching methods of that school. Upon returning to their old school, he and his triplet siblings became more secure of themselves - and made plenty of friends. Upon being reunited with the Baudelaires, the group moves to Hill Valley. The Quagmire triplets are instantly well-liked at Hill Valley High, except for among people like Douglas Needles and Miff Tannen. He soon meets Jennifer Parker, and the two quickly fall in love. Duncan does go through a short period of time, where he thinks Jennifer might be more compatible with Quigley - but she quickly realizes that Jennifer loves him as he is. Duncan listens to all kinds of music, except for country and rap.

You're welcome, Quags! I like the middle name "Lawrence" for Duncan. It really fits. It's great to see that he and his siblings are accepted at Hill Valley High. It's also great that he finds a girlfriend in Jennifer. They seem like they would make a nice couple. I also thought it was funny to see that Duncan hates the same kinds of music I do.

Isadora Rosalee Quagmire
Parents: Rupert Quagmire and Lorraine Baines Siblings: Duncan (1968) ~triplet~ and Quigley (1968) ~triplet~ Date of Birth: June 20, 1968 Height: 5' 2'' tall Weight: slim Hair Colour: medium brown Eye Colour: brown Occupation: poet (in particular, couplets) Portrayed as: Lea Thompson
Isadora is the youngest of the Quagmire triplets. She's been into writing couplets, even since she learned to write them in second grade. Her musical tastes lean towards soft rock and pop, and she's not as much into hard rock. She tends to dress for comfort, rather than for style - and she's not big on shopping. One thing she does agree with Quigley on, is that neither of them like sports. Duncan is the only one of the triplets to have a passion for sports, especially football. She's also not into diets, and doesn't understand why many of her peers are hung up on that.
She is very well-liked at Hill Valley High, even though she does get made fun of by those snobbish cheerleader types. She is very close to Violet Baudelaire and Jennifer Parker. She was seen as being real beautiful, which leads to her being harassed by Miff Tannen - much like in the same way Biff would harass Lorraine.
She likes men who are sensitive and not to macho - which Duncan, Quigley, and Klaus all fit the description of. While Violet tends to dress a little more plainly, Isadora dresses up in colourful clothes - and somewhat bohemian. She also likes lava lamps - and, on occasion, psychedelic rock.
While attending Prufrock Preparatory School, she was rather insecure. Since then, she's become a little more sociable. She loves going to parties, as long as they're not too wild. She's the kind of person who really likes to have fun.

Yay Isadora! I loved Duncan exaggerating, that made me laugh. It would fit the books evenly- most people say that Quigley was lying, but I like your idea better. And Isadora's great.

I just love the way you've expanded on Isadora's background! There are so many things you've included that remind me of myself, such as the part about her liking guys who are sensitive and liking lava lamps (I have one of those in purple, lol). Also, Isadora and Klaus are a perfect match. Well done, Quags.
