I would have lived in Númenor as one of the Elendili in the Second Age.

Ah, Numenor. (or however you spell it, ) I'm in the process of reading the Silmarillion now, and I'm at about the War of the Wrath part. Anyways, I'd probably be either a soldier/man of Dale, an Edain (like Elrond, I forgot if that's what they're called or not), or a merchant of Dol Amroth. If I would want to be fantasyish I would be as Tom Bombadil, a spirit of England's nature, or something as Tolkein put it. I'm American, but I've always appriceated the beauty of natural old England. And, for my say in the race, for fun, I would love to be a troll like William, Bert, or Tom. I thought they were so funny, and love to go tramping off eating villages or sacking fat, sleepy dwarves. Ha.

Elrond's half-elven. You could make a case for him being edain(the edain are the men who helped out the elves in the first age)

Elrond was the ruler of Imladris, which is more often called Rivendell, yes.

Yes it is. How'd you watch all the movies and play all the games without realizing this?

Still... Well now you know. And Arwen is his daughter. He's also got two sons: Elladan and Elrohir.

They probably did, I meant I wondered where they were during the War of the Ring.

I'd imagine they were trying to keep things under control in the north at first and then they came down with the rangers to the battle of the Pelennor Fields.

They were probably holding off orcs...because of their immense hatred for them. I wish they could've had an appearance in the movies.
