I wish I could see what kind of reception Gandalf got on returning to the Undying Lands.

His name in the Undyling Lands was Olorin. I wonder if he got any kind of reward for his 2018 years of labor.

That clears things up. Curumo sounds weird. and Pallando and Alatar sound like altar and palantir.

I'm voting for Sam.
He is the sweetest and most thoughtful character in the book. Some of those things that he said to Frodo were absolutely tear-jerking...Sam is a hero...

Its hard to chose..Because I stuck between the four hobbits and Aragorn....Hmm... I guess I'll chose Aragirn because he's a great swordsman and he fought at Helms Deep, the Pelenor Feilds and at Mordor and then became who he was ment to...The king...He has a great past and he's such a great character!

Not only that but he knows what he's doing. He knows history, the ancient languages, his predestined role, good tactics for war.

You definitely have a point...Sam may be sweet, but Aragorn is intelligent...resourceful...and an all-around great guy...
Argh! Decisions decisions...
*muses*
However, Sam still helps Frodo, and his character development screams greatness...
Conclusion: All of Tolkien's characters are amazing.

You even end up having grudging respect for the villains. I mean seriously, Barad dur was a masterpiece. But Gandalf has far more than the intelligence of Aragorn, plus latent power, and good use in battle.
