the interview with Sir Ian mckellen (i think thats how you spell it) on ROTK Video Game says he's 7,000 years old. I am confused.

Well we dunno how long the First Age was, maybe 500 years, then the second age was like 3400 and the third age was 3018, and there was still a lot of time before the first age, but I guess he could be 7000. But I'm gonna say he's much older.

Yeah, as powerful and awesome-tastic as gandalf is, I don't think he could've done it alone, just like frodo couldn't of destroyed the ring alone.
