You should check the hobbit to see how Glamdring fares throughout it and how many dwarves there are.

There were 7 founding fathers of the dwarves, and 7 rings for the dwarves. But as for the hobbit: Thorin, Balin, Dwalin, Dori, Ori, Nori, Gloin, Oin, Fili, Kili, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur... Thirteen.

Now I'm wondering how we got on the subject of dwarves in a sword thread. Swords!

Yes swords! I love Narsil. It's a classic! But if I had to buy a sword (totally off topic) I'd buy Sting...because I'm so short and probably couldn't lift a full-sizer. (I'm 5'2)

hahahaha, nice. Sting would be the weapon of choice for those of lesser stature.

That'd be difficult to do, Gandalf uses Glamdring but he's mad tall.

Gurthang's pretty cool. How terrifying would it be if someone drew a blackbladed sword on you?

Turin wields it. He's a warrior who killed the father of the dragons. His cousin was Earendil's father.

Very cool indeed. Poor me with Sting...*laughs* I'd probably tip over if I tried to heft Glamdring...evil tall Gandalf with his beard! Not that beards have anything to do with tallness...or anything much for that matter...

This is proven by Gimli's enormous beard and anything but enormous stature. *laughs*
