That's pretty interesting. If that anthology's no longer available I'll be sad.

Good point. We seem to have gotten off topic. They should have a special race in Battle for Middle Earth for valar and maiar.

yup. If they did make that race...talk about overpowered <_< maybe if you beat everything on every mode and have gotten to rank 10 in everything...but no.
The online community wouldn't like it. 6 factions are good enough in my opinion. GOBLINS AND ELVES FTW!

Yeah, valar could be unlockable heroes like Sauron and Galadriel and wipe everyone out.

Sauron and galadriel are already in the game.
and Galadriel sucks.

well the valar would be better because they're TONS stronger than maiar like Sauron which in turn are TONS stronger than elves like Galadriel.

Sauron or the Balrog are the most powerful 'units' or so to say, in the game. Poor Gandalf and Saruman are just basically normal heroes, not really like Maiar.

Well you did say gandalf could easily take down a balrog and they are supposed to be evenly matched, being of the same race.

Indeed I did. I was talking about BFME 2 here...BFME 1 Gandalf is the strongest unit in that game by far. Can knock out saruman with 2 special abilities.

You would think Saruman would be stronger especially since he was the most powerful of the istari initially. And and for further reference, their valinorean names:
Gandalf-Olorin Saruman-Curumo Radagast-Aiwendil

I already knew their alinorean names <____< but Saruman is evil, half of his powers should've been stripped form him anyway. Gandalf FTW.

Yeah, Saruman is described upon death as looking into the west (his spirit) but then feeling a cold wind and dissolving.

Whoa. Thats a bit...odd. Then again you can't really expect much less than Saruman.

Well the implicatoin is that he looked to the west because that's where he came from, but the cold wind is a symbol of the valar reprimanding him for his betrayal.
