What was the scariest scene in any of the three movies (if you have any)? Mine was Shelob the Spider attacking Frodo. ;D

Mine would probably be the same. It's not like it scared me scared me but I jumped when she suddenly came out of nowhere and bit him.

In Rivendell when Bilbo sees the Ring around Frodo's neck and he turns all scary-like. It gets me almost every time.

Hum... I don't really consider many of them to be scary... Maybe when that orc is chasing merry and pippin through Fangorn. Or there's always those scenes where gollum appears out of nowhere and wreaks havoc.

In Rivendell when Bilbo sees the Ring around Frodo's neck and he turns all scary-like. It gets me almost every time. Indeed, that scene is petrifying. Second comes the scene when Galadriel describes what she could do with the Ring, and it turns all dark...*shudders*

Oh yes I forgot about that one. That's a bit scary but it's also one of my favorite parts. Oh, the night scenes where minas tirith is on fire and soldiers are dying constantly, enemies viciously rampaging through the city.

Wow that seems popular. The grond breaking the gate down has its merits. Oh, and the Minas Morgul blasting off its energy as Frodo is just starting to climb the stairs.

I don't really have a 'scary scene', but It is a bit freaky when Bilbo goes all nuts on him in Rivendell.

The part where the cave troll all the sudden appears around the pillar where Frodo's hiding and roars is a bit scary. Not really but for the purposes of this thread it can be.

when those hooded things kill the hobbits by stabbing them in their beds
although every part after that is kinda scary, what with the hobbits all being zombies

That scene is definitely interesting, slightly confusing, and maybe a bit scary...

I guess the scene where that one orc chases Merry and Pippin and almost cuts them up is scary.

Well.....there are two that are scary. 1. The one were Frodo and Bilbo are in Rivendell and Bilbo sees the ring and turns into a sort of Gollum creature, and then he lashes out. I don't like it because it's jumpy. 2: When Shelob the big spider jumps out and stabs frodo with her pincer things. I hate that one becasue I hate spieders and it's jumpy
