Ok, this is probably stupid, but I only just noticed it a little while ago, but here it is: In the two towers, does anyone notice that when Saruman is showing the army to Grima from the tower, Grima cries. Just one tear. I don't know if anyone else cares, but I just thought that it was so significant.

*feels stupid for not noticing* I've watched that movie heaps and heaps of times, but I only noticed it then, and I went crazy! I kept replaying it, over, and over, and over...

Hum. That might actually be an actor's mistake, it looked like the wind was blowing hard up on Orthanc and such. Or Grima could have been crying because he was "once a man of Rohan" and seeing such an army marshalled against his people went beyond the level of betrayal he felt comfortable with...

Or maybe he was crying because he realized that now saruman had such an army he was trapped with saruman forever. If he ever did anything bad to saruman now he'd get tortured.

It's just a guess. It could always be a mistake.

He's actually quite a poor fellow under Saruman's control and everything. At least he kills saruman in the end.

Yeah, that was cool. *stab* *falls of orthanc and onto a millwheel* That must've hurt, falling on that spiky wheel.
