If you haven't a clue who any of these are...you've only seen the film, miserable blindworm...
If you recognise a few vaguely...you've read LOTR at least. Well done.
If you recognise most but haven't the foggiest about two or three...read the Silmarillion...
And if the last choice still bothers you...dip into Unfinished Tales.
Enjoy...oh, and choose an option you know about, if any. Also justify your decision, or my cougar squad will be onto you...

Oh I get it, your using characters who people normally don't name, like Elphaba suggested. ;D Okay, I think Id like to be Celegorm the Fair. There are one or two that I don't recognise(although I have read the books)but altogether I remembered them.

Bullroarer. He's in The Hobbit I love that book.
"If you have ever seen a dragon in a pinch, you will realize that this was only poetical exaggeration to any hobbit, even to Old Took's great-grand-unlce Bullroarer, who was so huge (for a hobbit) that he could ride a horse. He charged the ranks of the goblins of Mount Gram in the Battle of the Green Fields, and knocked their king Golfinbul's head cleam off with a wooden club. It sailed a hundred yards through the air and went down a rabbit-hole, and in this way the battle was won and the game of Golf invented at the same moment."
YAY.
