I've got one:
hey ho to the bottle i go to heal my heart and drown my woe rain may fall and wind may blow but there still be many miles to go sweet is the sound of the pouring rain and the stream that falls from hill to plain better than rain or rippling brook is a mug of beer inside this Took!

There once was a vala named Melkor, He smote two trees to their core He enslaved his orcs until they were sore but the noldor came and fought him in war. A small poem of my own invention. Of course, it makes no sense if u haven't read the Silamarillion...

An elf named Galadriel had such great hair, everyone looked and called her fair It looked like two bright lights were ensnared, To ask for some was the greatest dare.

My all-time favorite poems from Lord of the Rings? Strider's Riddle All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost The old that is strong does not wither; Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken; A light from the shadows shall spring. Renewed shall be blade that was broken; The crownless again shall be king.
I love that poem! And....Legolas' song of the Sea: To the Sea, to the Sea! The white gulls are crying, The wind is blowing, and the white foam is flying. West, west away, the round sun is falling. Grey ship, grey ship, do you hear them calling, The voices of my people that have gone before me? I will leave, I will leave the woods that bore me; For our days are ending and our years failing. I will pass the wide waters lonely sailing. Long are the waves on the Last Shore falling. Sweet are the voices in the Lost Isle calling, In Eressëa, in Elvenhome that no man can discover, Where the leaves fall not: land of my people for ever!
I'm not talented enough to make any up on my own, I'll leave that to everyone else. But I do love the poem about Melkor, and the one about Galadriel. I'm in the middle of the Silmarillion at the moment.
(sorry, I'm obsessed)

i cant make one up either, but here is poem that i always liked (besides all that is gold does not glitter , that's my favorite) "Tall ships and tall kings, three times three, What brought them from the foundered land, over the flowing sea? Seven stars and seven stones, and one White Tree."

Thanks for the compliments! I'm usually not too good with poems, but when I'm making them for myself and not for a grade they tend to sound less lame.

here's a poem i made up a few days ago. i hope you like it!
I Wish I Were a Hobbit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh, how I wish I were a hobbit, Life would be great, Drinking pints, singing songs, And I could sleep in late.
If I were a hobbit, I would have furry feet For hobbits don't wear shoes And that is fine with me!
If I were a hobbit, My name would be Ruby Boggy-Hillocks I would live in the Shire, And for fun, I'd climb on big rocks.
If I were a hobbit, I'd be friends with everyone! Frodo and his gang, and everyone else We'd all go to The Green Dragon and have lots of fun!
If I were a hobbit, I'd eat six meals a day. Breakfast, Second Breakfast, Elevensies, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Supper-- All that, everyday!
If I were a hobbit, What would I wear? Green, blue, red, yellow clothes--very colorful, And I'd have curly brown hair!
Oh, how I wish I were a hobbit, Too bad this wish can't come true, So I'll return to La-La Land now Where I can live in Middle-Earth too.
I've got some more--not any more about LOTR, but i'm thinking of an idea-- in chaotic creativity. go check 'em out, and tell me what u think of them!

i wrote this one yesterday. it's just about how i love lotr. here it is:
Lord of the Rings ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Boy, do I love a movie Called Lord of the Rings I have a lot of favorite parts One of them is when Pippin sings!
There are 3 movies in the series First is Fellowship of the Ring. Second's The Two Towers, And last is Return of the King
The films are based on the books Written by J.R.R. Tolkien I love them, they're great When I talk of them, good things are always spoken.
There are a lot of great quotes In these 3 movies Like "For Frodo" and "I am no man" "What about Second Breakfast?"- that one's just plain goofy.
Now you know how I feel About the wonderful LOTR I am very very happy That they're not rated "R".
what do ya think??

Cool, ur turning into Isadora.. <thinks about making new poem>
There was on a time a maia named Olorin Who by the valar was sent to go 'splorin. Later he met a dwarf named Thorin He fought to recover many things dwarven.
In the west he retained his old name Yet in Middle Earth it was not the same In the north the name Gandalf earned fame Yet the hateful south against him burst flame
He came to Rivendell ahead of a team Of hobbits who he would follow and cast a gleam Over evil shadows and beat things that seem Unable to be beaten by a white beam
With the team he came to halls underground And few would believe what they then found And if they knew they'd leap and bound Away from where they heard the balrog's sound
Then he did battle with the fire Breaking the bridge without tire Falling into a position that was most dire Beating the balrog as he would beat a liar
Yet in that struggle he lost his life After days of heavy strife He died on the mountain dropping his knife Flying through Menel, stars in rife
Coming back as a rider of white He kept the soldiers' formation tight His presence giving reassuring light At last returning to Valinor after the fight.
