[glow=red,2,300]Although I am bias because I haven't read the books (lol), the movies are great! Some of the choices are a little conceited, don't you think, Dr. C Ski? Are we in need of an ego boost? lol..it is a good thread topic though [/glow]

Well, Its a really tough choice for me, so I didn't vote. (To let you know, its a choice between movies and books, Jay)
I love the movies, because they are such good epics, and really show Tolkiens masterpiece. Not that I don't love the actors *cough*ElijahWood*coughcough*
But the books are so wonderfull, and have the completed story and all the songs and poems. And they give more of a sense of Middle Earth than the movies do. I like the way the books are writted, like oldfashiony, and the way the story developed. There are somethings that can't be told in a movie, but can be told in books.

i love movies but i said books. books u can set the time and you can imagine what the people look like yourself and books are more enjoyable to wait for and its fun to stay up late reading or to read a good book on a rainy day and i just love books. i have to many boks. my sister has 80 books in her bookshelf that she hasnt read and her bookshelf is overflowing sand its about the same for me but we didnt spend the time ot count mine
