Because girls don't ever stop talking about him and it's quite annoying to hear girls drooling over guys right in front of ur face. That's why.

i agree with pandora, aragorn/viggo mortensen is the most gorgeous specimen of mankind to walk the planet (in my opinion) ;D hahaha anyway, i voted for books because as far as storylines go, they're better, but i think that both books and movies are brilliant because they could not have made movies that are exactly the same as the books, because they would have lasted probably at least like 30 hours and while i would have been glad to sit and watch them for that long, few people would, and part of the point of the movies is to attract people to tolkein's work who would have never sat down to read the books, but then after seeing the movies will want to read them...so while books are better plotwise, the movies are great as well (plus the movies have viggo....ahhh viggo....obsession)

The cover of my ROTK has Viggo on it, want it? I always like books better because they leave parts of the book out of the movie, always. Except in Holes I LOVED that movie.

Eek. U need to settle down. U can see him at all times what with ur LOTR movies and all those other tapes and pictures. He's even on the cover of my FOTR book(which is better than the movie)

Definetely books because theyre more descriptive and I like getting my own pictures un my head on how the characters sound and wat they look like.

Yes, books are better. Usually, I read books with my own inferior pictures, then once I see the movies I can visualize the characters correctly, so the books get even better!
