my mom was readinghte newspaper today, and she showed me an article about pj. it said that he's planning The Hobbit, but it won't be out for a long while, because MGM and New Line both want to sponsor it (i think). something like that.

hey! i read that in the paper today too! yeah, MGM has the distributing rights and New Line has some other right! but PJ says he's going to working on King Kong, so they have a long time to settle things.

yeah, i heard that too, on people.com, i think. they said that the extended editon will be released sooner too, like august. huzzah! they said that they're gonna release it earlier because there aren't any more movies to release in the theaters--except for TH, but that won't be for a while)

Ian McKellan has expressed interest in playing Gandalf again for TH, also, so that would probably stay constant.

o yeah, i would definatly want SIr Ian McKellen as Gandalf and Sir Ian Holm as Bilbo. it just wouldn't be the same with different characters. i just hope pj knows this.

I heard spec that the Tolkien estate is avoiding handing over the rights to making the film. So, it may take a bit longer for PJ to get the rights.
I hope Howard Shore composes the music again.
Also, as much as I like Elijah, i would hope he wouldn't be selected to play Bilbo. It would RUIN the film. And, I hope they don't put Legolas in there at all. As much of a fangirl as i am (and I am a fangirl), it would cause too many fangirls to take up pppppreeecccious space in the theater.
But most of all, I WANNNANWANNNA Andy Serkis to play Gollum! *dances*
Sorry, my friends were talking about this and came up with the Elijah stuff and Legolas stuff, and it scared me lol.

In this thing I was reading about the making of the trilogy, it said that PJ originally wanted to do "The Hobbit," but someone suggested he do the trilogy instead...
