Who else here is a MAJOR Eowyn fan? I deeply admire any girl in any movie/book that kicks butt, Eowyn and Trinity being my two faves.
But Eowyn- she's just cool. I mean, think of all the stuff that she has had to go through (if you've read the books or seen the extended version of TTT you'll understand what I mean.)
I thought it was kinda funny, though, watching her giving Aragorn the stew she made, and him wanting to spit it right back out. She seemed so- i don't know, almost childishly sweet there, like a little girl who made her first meal.
Would any of you venture to say she's better for Aragorn than Arwen?

I can't wait to see Eowyn and Merry on the Pelennor Fields...
You're right- Fife. Eowyn and Faramir are good- but I never liked Arwen. She's pretty and all, but too- bleh.

I like Arwen, have you read the books? In Return of the king Eowyn marries Faramir (spelling ;D)

Yes- I've read the books. Eowyn seemed more human in the third book, but perhaps because she was in it more.
But the thing Faramir told her in the House of Healing (I forget the exact words she used) About not wanting to go to the Pellenor Fields because she did not want to see Aragorn recieved in all his glory from battle- that was a side of Eowyn we first saw- a bitterness towards Aragorn (he whom she had loved for so long) and almost a sheer jealousy that was not laced with love towards his battle prowess and his honor.
It was then, I believe, that her love for Aragorn began to turn sour, and she began to love Faramir.

Eowyn is awesome. Especially with her "I am no man" line. I think Arwen is better for Aragorn, you can tell those two wouldn't be happy apart (even if I do dislike Arwen muchly). Faramir and Eowyn seem to go well together, I think.

You've read the books cent ski? That suprises me.
I love Arwen. I'm going to bed after I post this so I'm not going to go off into a whole rant about why she is better for aragorn or why they make a couple but I love her.
Eowyn is alright. Well ok I do like her. I hated her in the 2nd one, just because me and some friends wanted to. That was more fun than liking her actually but oh well.

I totally agree. Aragorn and Arwen are the quiet-I-am-of-high-leniage(excuse the spelling)-and-am-propbly-a-better-ruler-than-you-but-I-still-respect-you-cause-I-have-a-concience-and-I-have-a-beautiful-soul-and-I-have-a-dead-sexy-fiance thing goin' on. (ok maybe I got alittle off track and started rambling) My cousin says that she was so lame when she said, "I am no man!" but I thought it was the most awesome line!

I love Eowyn, and I think she perfect for Faramir. They just go together. It was funny, when Aragorn let Eowyn know he didn't love her, my friend shouted, "YES! TRUE LOVE PREVAILS!!" People were staring, but it was fun.

It was even better in the book. Really unexpected after the male-centrism of the other stories and the fact that there aren't any women at all in The Hobbit.
