I counted the amount of lines Legolas has in ROTK.
Lines: 11 Deep thoughtful/smirking looks: around 20.

Haha! I know, after Frodo had been rescued and Legolas walked in w/ that weird look, my friend was all, "OH NO! HIS LAST POSE!" But it was okay, we hate Legolas. And his lines.... well, they certainly are as worth while as his poses.

In the middle of the seeing ROTK for the second time (third time for me), my friend suddenly said, "Legolas doesn't do anything, he's just eye candy." I couldn't believe it took her 'til the end of the series to realize that. It doesn't matter to her, though, he's still her favorite character.

i'm gonna vouch for him on that one. shield surfing and taking down an oliphaunt is no small feat. that was definatly cool and while he doesn't have the most brilliant of lines ( "a diversion" no duh!) he can do pretty awesome stuff

The longest one (no more than 8 sentances) was in the Paths of the dead. The next longest one (around 4/5 sentances) was his first line, in Edoras, about the stars or something, when he had on that hood.

yeah, i liked that Legolas didn't have TOO many lines, only because in the books he is more the quiet, helpful type. Also, him being too talkative would take away from the other characters.

Leave all the lines to Frodo. That works.

11? Thats a record then. I think my friend Jackie said he had around three in the first one.
