In the 9th book the carnivorous carnival in the book it says ""I myself hope it's Violet," Olaf said "She's the prettiest""
what im wondering is how in the world Violet didn't think that was creepy. I mean hes an old man with a girlfriend who is calling Violet pretty? i mean if i was Violet i would be creeped out myself. What about you guys?

Violet was not there in that scene, therefore, she didn't hear that line. That might have been creepy of Olaf's but it's far from being his worst flaw.

If you reread the first two books, there are words and actions that are far creepier than this. Olaf lives a life of melodrama; he probably enjoys being surrounded by attractive people, and let's face it, his troupe aren't really helping there.

I didn't think it was too creepy. Others have also called Violet pretty throughout the series, though of course it wasn't in the context of kidnapping, so it's a little different.

I think you're I'm confusing the escape from Heimlich Hospital with the caravan on Mortmain Mountains. The Baudelaires were weren't in said caravan when Olaf made that remark.

Perhaps page references would solve this conundrum...?

I focused on the villains, and I totally forgot that Violet was in the trunk along with Klaus and Sunny. You'll have to forgive me, it's been a long while since I read The Carnivorous Carnival. And to be fair, while it might have seemed that Count Olaf had certain 'intentions' - *shrudders at the thought* - aimed towards Violet, he never actually went through with his plan. It wouldn't be too hard to imagine now. God, now I feel like I'm gonna puke. XD ew.

As we know, Olaf did try to marry Violet. Even though it was just for the fortune, I wouldn't be surprised if he does have the slightest "crush" on her, which kinda sounds sick, I know. But as Dante says, Olaf has always been known to be melodramatic, and I wouldn't be surprised if the rest of his acting troupe is the same. I mean, all of them were over the top, from the two powder faced women to the hook handed man. However I had to laugh to myself when one of those powder faced women decided to leave for good. Perhaps they had an inkling then that Olaf wasn't going to be successful in his plans seeing as he had failed so many before. But he always seemed to fill them all with Dutch Courage and telling them a lot of lies so that they would stay with him to carry out his dastardly wicked plans.

I think Count Olaf was referring to the Baudelaire orphans in this instance, rather than judging Violet to be the prettiest person out of everyone he's ever met. It's creepy of him to say as much, but how much more creepy would it be if he thought Klaus or Sunny were the prettiest?
