I just got around to reading this story, and I've got to say, it's awesome, like the rest of your work.

violet Marie: Thanks! So you've read the rest of YASoUE, I assume, thanks a lot for taking the time, it means a lot.

Absolutely incredible ending. I really enjoyed these last two chapters (and the other chapters, of course), and the fifth installment looks very exciting.

I just thought I'd drop in to say I'll be reading the final two chapters over the next few days. I feel badly that TCC has finished and I still need to catch up.

Umm...double post. But I wanted to make sure you saw this. ;D I just read Chapter Twelve, and, like all your other chapters, it was most fantastic. The focus on greed at the beginning and end was really well done; I like how it related so well to Klaus and his love for Cindry. Esme telling the Baudelaires they could sit wherever they chose as long as it wasn't near her was so mean, but so relevant to her character. Also, I commend you for being so swift with your updates. I remember back when I used to be able to do that - no more, though. Oh, well. I'll be reading the final installment soon, and then it's on to The Jeopardized Jungle, which I'm happy to see you've gotten the thread started for already. You certainly don't waste any time, do you Tiago?

Well, I've just finished reading Chapter Thirteen (I accidentally said 'Thirteen' when I meant 'Twelve' in my last review : , and it was incredible! I loved the revelation of the romance between Lars and Felix - never would I have guessed it! Don Casanova's demise was very creepy, but brilliantly written, and I like the symbolism of the blood-shaped heart. And, even though she was terribly insensitive to Carlo's feelings (as well as those of the other Casanova siblings), I've got to congratulate Esme from shielding Carmelita from such a grizzly scene. I hope things turn out well for Lars, even though they aren't looking too good for him now. I thought at first Felix was going to kiss him, and then I was shocked when he stabbed him in the stomach. I think we can all be sure that the Baudelaires aren't going to die, but still it was good of you to remind the reader of this fact. Again, congratulations on the completion of The Catastrophic Casino. Now that you've written it, you can expect some Carlo-centered fics from me for future birthdays and such. Well, I'm off to check out The Jeopardized Jungle now...

@emmz: Thanks, I'm glad the ending of TCC pleased you.
I had intended for Lars to be gay even before The Shivery Shrine, but it wasn't until I wrote the first few chapters of The Catastrophic Casino that I 'discovered' who his lost partner was, and what had happened to him - being taken and surviving the Great Unknown, something I will delve into in future fics - Plus, Lars is a sailor, and at one point Felix was also a sailor. How gay is that? lol ^^
Felix's stabbing of Lars was more like he was killing not Lars, but his love for Lars. Symbologically speaking. If you analyze it from a Freudian perspective, it takes a whole different aspect. Hehehe
I'm glad everyone so enjoyed TCC despite a few of my teasers for it being red herrings - but the roulette was a chekov's gun as opposed to a red herring ^^ - This installment was one of the 'Can't wait to write that' group of fics for these series.

@emmz: Thanks, I'm glad the ending of TCC pleased you. *Jerome voice* You're very welcome, Tiago. It did, and very much. Oh, the same thing happens to me all the time; like, I'll be writing a story, or be doing something else, then all of a sudden I'll be seized by an idea (such as what happened with Voice of Reason), and I'll just know I'll have to include it in the story. I really like the backstory you've created for Lars and Felix, because backstories always make interesting stories that much more interesting, don't' you think? I'm glad that you're planning to explore more about Felix's past - do you know yet which fics you'll be introducing that in? LOVIN' your Lars-and-Felix-being-sailors idea. Would it be aboard the Prospero, or another ship? Perhaps one belonging to Elizabeth or her father? Oh, so Felix stabbing Lars was meant to represent symbolism! Ah, okay, I see. It was a clever move (on your part, not Felix's, obviously ), since it added a lot of drama to the scene (not that it needed it, but hey, let's face it, there's no such thing as too much drama, is there? ;D). I liked how the red herrings weren't genuine red herrings, because that way the reader (who would remember that imagery from TEE) was surprised, and that's always an important thing to remember while writing a story. Especially one with as many surprises as YASoUE. I'm glad you had so much fun writing TCC, which is rather obvious considering your rapid posting of chapters. LOL.
