Oh, you've already made the thread! I like the visuals you've been providing, and the documents and such are indeed very UA-esque. Geraldine Julienne's article- I'm interested to see if she can even describe things accurately, or if she's exaggerating. I really look forward to meeting the new characters- some of the ones you've created in the past I find particularly creative in their personalities.

The following is an excerpt extracted from the personal journal of a very distressed volunteer.Dear Dairy, One might wonder how it would be possible to build a life-size copy of a certain section of Venice - in italian, Vennezzia - just off the shore of the city, at Luck Island. I've thought about it many ways, and it seems as though our italian enemies are amongst the foulest members of the fire starting side we could ever be pitted against, were it not for the fire fighters from other nations. Between us, researchers of the history of this organization, we know it has divided and spread in more ways than we could find since the schism. Back to the subject of Venice and Luck Island, the Venetian Fire Department - in italian, Reparto di Incendio Veneziano - is comprised mostly of XXXXXXXXXXXX - a smudge of spilt ink covered this part of the entry - and we cannot do much other than sit up here, in each other's company, plotting many ways to stay alive while they plot many ways to make sure we don't. What troubles me also, is the whereabouts of Rosa Quigalot. This noble volunteer who is my cousin still hasn't contacted me ever since the latest events that took place at Luck Island, in italian, Isola Della Fortuna. Mama Rosquel

So now we know the name of the island on which Casanova Casino is located - a name which could not be more appropriate! ;D 'Venetian Fire Department' is most certainly a wonderful V.F.D. phrase, and I like all of the Italian names you've used here. Once again, Tiago, I applaud you for your never-ending, witty imagination!

I have a feeling that that life-size section of Venice will play a part in this upcoming installment.

A telegram sent from Luck Island, from our volunteer who is infiltrated at the casino. G has checked into the casino STOP. As well as L, and V, K, S, and B STOP. The others were already there, including C, C, C, D, U, V, T, but not yet E, C, F and C STOP. I find this copious ammounts of initials confusing STOP. Please hurry. The day of the tea party approaches STOP. We can't do this alone STOP. We are really hoping this telegram is not intercepted STOP.
B and H, or A and C.

Do all of the initials you've listed have names, or are some of them just letters whose identities we will never know? I'm familiar with L, V, K, S, and B, of course, and possibly E, C, F, and C, but the others have eluded me (and the author of this telegram, it looks like).

I applaud the number of initials that look relevant, though. The more characters you have, the more you can confuse people.

Sometimes a little confusion is a good thing, as it makes the revealed truth that much more exciting. That is, if the truth behind these mysterious names is ever revealed at all. Like Sherry Ann, I recognized a good portion of them (L, V, K, S, B, and I'm pretty sure E). In addition, I am interested in knowing what the tea party is all about. I am guessing its purpose is similar to that of the cocktail party in TPP, but I guess that's an explanation for a future installment.

AREAS OF LUCK ISLAND - what we have gathered so far.
Little Venice, in italian, Piccola Vennezia
Harbor - where the Fortune Ferry or, in italian, Vaporetto della Fortuna makes port, bringing gamblers from the mainland.
Piazza dei Giocatori - Also Known as Gamblers' Square.
Osteria dei Cuori - Also known as Hearts Café.
Via Fortuna - address of the Casino.
Cortile dei Piscini - Pool Yard
Piazza dei Cuori - Hearts Square.
Piano di Scacchi - Chess Floor.
Cantina dei Cuori - Hearts Restaurant, the inner restaurant at the casino.
- - - - -
This is all I've gathered so far from B and H - or A and C - 's reports. Turns out that Luck Island is about one of the most hostile places for any volunteer to venture into in this world.

Very interesting. I think I know who E, C, F and C are, if they are travelling together - though even if I know who F is I don't know what his initial stands for.
One query - when in the volunteer's journal you refer to the fire-fighting side, do you actually mean the fire-starting side?

There are a lot of Hearts about. Are they waiting for a Queen?

Hermes: Thank you for poiting that out, Hermes. Yes, that was supposed to be 'fire starting' not fire fighting. I got mixed up, my apologies. @dante: You bet!

My, but Luck Island is like a theme park with all its different locations, isn't it? Little Venice makes me think of Little Italy, which I went to in New York City when I was sixteen. I wonder if the ASoUE version of Little Venice sells Italian Ices as well? ;D

There is actually a Little Venice in London - so called because it's on a canal, though, not because Italians live there.
