IDK, but I just thought of this recently; do your characters in any of your ficverses have any specific musical tastes? I often depict Klaus as a fan of hip-hop, classical and big-band music. He also has an affinity for the rapper Tupac, being that they're both bookworms (as the late rapper had read works from Niccolò Machiavelli, Donald Goines, Sun Tzu, etc.).

It's cool that your Klaus shares a common interest with Tupac besides his music. In my ficverse, Jerome prefers classical, folk, classical rock, and soft rock. His favorite bands are the Beatles and Simon and Garfunkel. Esme is very much the opposite, I suppose, since her tastes lean more towards pop - especially that which came out in the 1980s, which was when she grew up - as well as Gothic Metal. Her favorite bands/singers are Roxette, Belinda Carlisle, and Cyndi Lauper. I also picture her liking Lady GaGa, both for her music and outfits. Carmelita I imagine being really into Brittany Spears, the Spice Girls, and Hansen (she's twelve years old in 1999, back when their music was very popular). As an adult, I think she would still enjoy the same styles of music she did as a child, though perhaps her tastes would have developed. I can see her having an appreciation for Jerome's and Esme's favorite music, even if she didn't care for it as a child. Carmelita would definitely have always shared Esme's love for Lady GaGa, though.

Klaus and Isadora tend to prefer soft rock, pop, folk, and psychedelic rock. They're the least into Led Zeppelin, of the group.
Quigley and Violet prefer hard rock and heavy metal, with Led Zeppelin being amongst their favourites.
Duncan likes both hard rock and soft rock, and Led Zeppelin is also amongst his favourites.
Beatrice takes after Violet and Quigley. In addition to Led Zeppelin, she also likes Foo Fighters and Alice in Chains. She is sensitive about being told that she shouldn't like heavy metal by traditionalist metal-head males, and is just as sensitive about being yelled at by extreme feminists for listening to "sexist" heavy metal. She considers herself a feminist partly because she listens to heavy metal - and, thus, going against the gender norms of females listening to pop.
Sunny's primary interest is rock, but she'll keep an open mind - and listen to a little of everything. The only music she really doesn't like is opera.
Fiona doesn't really listen to that much music, and she doesn't understand why the others are so passionate about it.

I'm much more of a rocker!
I figured Fiona doesn't really get that much opportunity to listen to music, with living in a submarine and all - so I figured to make the one to not really be much into music.

It's hard to believe that anyone doesn't care for music. Even though my brother is actually one of those people.

Yeah, freebird, I understand exactly what you mean. I'm one of those people who pretty much have the music on all the time. Yet, I've known people who didn't care much for music - and it is hard for me to understand that.
However, I'm not one of those people who take music so seriously that I look my nose down on other people for their perceived "bad taste" in music. Yet, if you've ever watched music videos at YouTube, there seem to be just way too many of those people around.
I do admit to feeling a little disappointed, though - if people don't like certain bands or songs that I like. I can accept it far better, though - if people express those dislikes in a polite manner.

@ freebird and Very Funky Disco: Yeah, I find it quite odd how anyone couldn't like music. I listen to it every day - I like to have my iPod with me every time I go for a walk, clean the house, or even just to walk five minutes to get the mail. I also can't fall asleep unless the radio or television is on.
