Wow, not one but
two amazing chapters! (Yes, I took notes while reading, just so I wouldn't overlook anything while writing my compliments, as I tend to do so often it seems). ;D
Chapter Twelve:It took me a moment to grasp the significance of this line, but once I had I found it to be of extreme amusement. Even in a crisis, these two never fail to be adorable!
I really like this way of looking at the situation concerning Fiona and Fernald and their intent on rescuing Captain Widdershins. Although, Lars' disdain for the Captain is equally understandable. I like as well the way you've made mention of Violet's almost!marriage to Count Olaf, which is an excellent comparison to the situation concerning Fiona, Fernald, and Captain Widdershins.
Whoa - not in a million
years was I able to spot such a revelation! Then again, it's just another example of your creative brilliance.
I find it
fascinating that Harold Potter is a former pupil of Uncle Monty's, and Jupiter Island is just the sort of place Harold would work before resorting to a life of villainy, what with his expertise with snakes and such.
I loved how, when the time came for Violet, Lars, and Charles to insert the names of the female volunteers, each was inserted by the one who knew/knows that person best.
Yet another interesting way of looking at an incident from the canon! You've really delved in deep to the psychology of ASoUE/YASoUE, haven't you, Tiago?
I admire how, despite all she's done, Klaus is still able to see the good in Fiona. And, as a result, Violet's faith that Quigley will return from the Great Unknown unchanged continues to remain strong. She and Klaus are truly lucky to have each other.
Aww. Need I say more to express my feelings for this?
Seriously, though - this part was incredibly sweet, and I think, along with everyone else, I know what Lars and Charles were doing. This was also a lovely homage to TSS, during the scene with Violet and Quigley on the mountain.
Chapter Thirteen: Ha! Very clever of Lars to do this, and very clever of
you to think it up.
Aww...I find this difficult to believe, but Lars' nobility and unselfishness is still greatly admirable.
Um...would it be the silliest thing in the world if I said I half expected these two to help each other on with their parachutes?
This was so sad, though something tells me that the Baudelaires will be reunited with Lars and Charles again sometime in the future. ^^
I really enjoyed the ending, and the mention of furious!Esme was very entertaining. I think I've said this before in connection to your other fics, but she really is
so cute when she's angry.
Here, for example:
*faints* ;D
Anyway, congratulations of the conclusion on yet another fabulous - and smashing - installment of
Yet Another Series of Unfortunate Events. I see you've begun posting the next one already, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it will progress.
