No one in their right mind would read another story in the lives of the Baudelaire Orphans, specially THE AWFUL ASYLUM, a book so dreadful it could drive one insane. Having been led to Addams Asylum, the Baudelaires try their best to stay sane in their pursuit of Cindry Fulfillment.
In this pursuit, they come across a duo of doctor siblings, electroshock therapy, dangerous drugs, a very strange psychiatrist and his even stranger children, an empty, ruined asylum wing, a deadly nurse with an evil scheme in mind, and many unfortunate lunatics.
If you want to avoid being drained of every inch of your sanity, lock away this dreadful story of madness or you will end up in a padded room, lost in insanity forever.

Ophelia - A tour guide to Addams Asylum - By T
The road to Ophelia is sided by forests, and now that it's autumn, the forest's true beauty comes out. Of course, such beauty is only disturbing, giving the town's asylum and orphanage. Ophelia is not a town of happiness. It is forever shrouded in a mantle of fog and oppression and some deem impossible to be happy in such a place, unless one is mad, in which case they are locked in the asylum.
Addams Asylum, home to the lot of unfortunate souls who scream in agony. The walls reverberate with the screams of horror of those locked inside. Many of those who here work tend to end up as patients themselves. Long exposure to madness, and to the horrors that are oh so frequent in the asylum tends to cause nurses, doctors, and even the janitors to go insane. It amazes me that Dr. F chose to raise his two children, N and N, in the Asylum, except for those periods of time which they would go to school. Dr. F's wife, A, went insane, was locked up, and died there. Her death was surrounded by mystery, and the case was closed. I believe there is more to her death than anyone knows.
The now unused Asylum Chapel. The priest in charge also went insane, just by hearing the confessions of doctors, nurses, and some saner patients, and died years later.
An asylum bed in the female ward. The patient who sleeps in this bed, H, has psychotic fits that put those around her in great danger. Her brother, H, is also insane, locked up in the male ward.
A staircase in the ruined ward of the Asylum. It was ruined in the night of a lunatic riot that culminated in a fire, which killed several of the inmates. It is in Dr. A and Dr. A's plans to rebuild the ruined ward, but no one wants to come work at the Asylum. As a matter of fact, no one in their right mind comes anywhere near it.
It is my belief that things weren't always so grim, and at one point, the lunatics of the Asylum could be left in this common room. But something changed in the asylum, and instead of getting better, the lunatics all grew worse and worse. This culminated in the infamous riot and fire that destroyed a great part of the Asylum, which now works with only four wards as opposed to it's former six.
The entrance to the asylum's ruined wards. No one that works in the asylum comes near the ruined ward. It is believed to be haunted.

You've certainly captured my interest, Tiago. Those images are hauntingly disturbing - in the very best of ways, of course. Your descriptions of the asylum and its rooms/places are incredibly well written, too.
I'm especially intrigued by the explanation behind A's demise. I wonder if our heroes will learn anything of that? *wonders*

This list goes on for another page contaning more names of other Asylum patients. I have it somewhere inside my suitcase, but I must hurry, as I have an important appointment. I will give the rest of the papers to E and she will make them available to fellow volunteers.
