The sea is never quiet.
Not a full year after The End, Violet, Klaus, Sunny and little Beatrice Baudelaire are living somewhat happily if not messily, in the city again. Violet and Klaus work to support the family, but their daily routine is interrupted with the arrival of a letter that prompts them to leave the city for Paltryville again to investigate a possible impersonator of Count Olaf. What they discover there is that while Olaf may be dead and gone, there are many enemies out there in the world. New enemies, new friends, new secrets.
