I feel uncomfortable to say this. I am not a stuff member. I am a simple member with eight stars but I have some suggestions and advises to you. This is about nominations. Certainly, you can't do it right now but you can do it next year. You should add some more nominations. You have "The Best Writer" and "The Best Story". You also have "The Best Artist" but you don't have "The Best Artwork". I think it would be cute if added it next year.

Well, the idea is to have thirteen awards to nominate and vote upon, as the number thirteen is the number associated with Snicket.

There should certainly be thirteen, but there may still be room for thought about whether some of the categories should be changed. They've been the same for a few years, but I think they were different at some point in the past.
I'm not sure about 'best artwork', though; I don't think people generally remember individual artworks in the way they remember individual stories.

I believe Tragedy mentioned last year that it was possible for catgories to be changed. I liked the current ones, though, and decided to stick with them. Certainly a little change never hurts, though, and I think the idea would be a wonderful one for next year's Darkies. Thank you for the suggestion, colette. I agree that 'best artwork' would prove a bit difficult to turn into a category, given that not many artists provide names to their pieces. A direct link to the artwork would be required.

In addition, colette, having eight stars doesn't disqualify you from making suggestions. It's good that we can have this input so that things like the Darkies aren't run by a closed circle. I think it's worth pointing out that a story and a picture are two quite different things; a picture is generally an update of its own, but stories tend to be uploaded chapter by chapter, created in much the same way an artist might create a series of pictures. So for artists, I think it's fair to nominate by portfolio rather than by a single image. I don't actually visit AArt much, though, so people may feel free to correct me on that.
