The really worrying thing, I think, is not her betraying the Baudelaires as such - as you say, she did help them escape when she got the chance - but her joining Olaf's side and agreeing to help him destroy the last safe place. Nevertheless I agree she's not a bad person really, just an illustration of the fact that we are all chef's salads - and she turned out all right in the end.

I don't think Fiona joining Olaf is nearly so problematic when you consider that she'd also be joining the only member of her family left, one who she's been missing for years, and in addition to that Olaf promised to help her find her stepfather, too. This being Olaf, she would know that his promises aren't worth much, but what was the alternative? Aimlessly wander the high seas alone in her submarine? She even let the Baudelaires go, and that probably won't have won her any brownie points with her new boss.
In summary, I will now cast a vote for everyone except Fiona.
Edit: According to the poll, Klaus's most popular partners are now Friday, Colette, and Ariel. Democracy in action.

I think the best would be Klaus and Friday.

I used to always think that Klaus would end up with Isadora, yet I now wish that he would end up with me...

defiantly not Violet, Sunny, Carmelita or Vice Principal Nero. Isadora is hinted at and he actually has a thing with Fiona. It's sad they didn't meet again- or did they?

I'm in favour of Klaus and Isadora. I can see Klaus making peace with Fiona, and all - but I think there'd be too much hurt feelings between them to re-establish their relationship with each other. I also, in general, am not too fond of wide age gaps between characters. What would you count as wide? I can see that Klaus/Nero, for instance, might be seen as quite a gap, but Klaus and Fiona are only three years apart. Two years in my ficverse. They never said how much older Fiona was than Violet.

I would say Fiona is around 15-16ish.

I think she is the same age as Violet.

I would think that if they can see that she is older than Violet, she must be at least a year older, so I make her 16.

Canonically, Fiona is "a bit older than Violet," and that's just on looks. I think putting her a year above Violet in age is reasonable.

Looking older doesn't necessarily mean that she is.
After all, Olaf looked a lot older than he actually was.

But Olaf probably looked older because of the the wine, and breathing in smoke from constant arson.

Fiona might look older because of life on the sea. Then again, she could look older just because.

That's true. Once I met someone who thought I was four years older than I actually am and I don't leave in the sea, smoke or drink wine.

But Olaf probably looked older because of the the wine, and breathing in smoke from constant arson. Or possibly something psychological - the death of his parents, or a life of villainy, perhaps.
