There is a town, to the south. Two years ago, a strange submarine washed up ashore when the tides lowered. It was really small for a submarine, and it sunk halfway into the bog. The townspeople were excited, as they’d seen nothing like it. There was a strange question mark shape in the submarine. They tried to open it, but to no avail. Soon, the towns people forgot about it, sort of. They’d still have barbecues near the submarine, and someone even opened a shrimp place near it, calling it ‘Sub Mud-Bugs’ which everyone agreed was stupid, but they still showed up for the shrimp. Then, one night when the owner was closing the place, he heard a noise. He walked out of the restaurant. To his terror, the submarine opened, a red light pouring out of it. He ran screaming for his mother. A girl and two boys got out of the submarine.

A "mother" reference? Perfection. And of course, I'm hooked.
Edit: And I only just noticed the full story heading on the banner image. So, that's how it is...

Yes. A new series. 13 books. New characters, new friends, new enemies, new secrets. It's time for the Quagmires do to a little exploring of their own.

I can hear the sci-fi music playing in the background. Interesting Nemo is "missing" and not "dead." Who might have drawn up that report?
