Certainly there's little to be ashamed of in the effort that went into that trailer, Tryina.

The trailer is really good. The music sounds somehow strange in a interesting way.

The trailer is really good. The music sounds somehow strange in a interesting way. What sort of way? Because it's 'The Blue Danube'? Anyway, thx, Ankaaaa! I hope you enjoy the story!!!!! Can you guess who is the girl in the pale blue dress beside Samantha in the trailer? And why is the burning paper at the end of the trailer? Guess!

Author's Disclaimer: Before you read this one, I suggest you check out this page before reading this...... Ok, alright, the date's off. I'm entering this so you folks will be happy, no? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Chapter Four-The morning Samantha and Nellie woke up, it was a bright morning, and the room, along with its thin, white, muslin curtains, shone bright in the early morning light. The orphans then changed clothes, and Samantha was staring at the mirror for a long time. “Am I preety enough, Nellie?” she asked. Nellie went into a frown. Samantha had used to be a little ‘dirty’ (as Nellie called it.) some years back, but now she had cared more about her looks. But it was not a thing to be discussed right now, so they went down Lew’s self-made stairs and went to one of the dining rooms, they found the Baudelaire orphans there, but Lew was not seen there. “Where was he?”Nellie asked. “He was away on an errand.” Sunny answered, while all the time she was chopping carrots. “Lew left a note for you.” Violet said. She picked up a sheet of yellow paper, and she took out the pushpin that attached it to the board that held all sorts of notes, including recipes, secret cooking codes, important volunteer information and all sorts of things that would fit on a buletin board. The paper dropped into Violet’s hands, and she gave it out to Samantha and Nellie, who read it both out loud. Like any other things, a note, even a short one, can make anyone wonder, volunteer or villain, old or young. Not a exception was the particular note they were holding, made Samantha and Nellie curious. They wondered, who was the female automobile driver, the automobile’s licence plate, NO15KY, what will happen to them next, and all other sorts of things, that I now tell you, will not be good. As I warn you, either for the penultimate time, the last time, or either in the middle of those numbers, I am now continuing the solemn, sad duty which two past volunteers have tried to complete to their greatest might. This story is sad, many had embraced the two past efforts, but a few survived. The unfortunate air lingering around was not felt by the orphans in the kitchen, but unfortunate things were about to come. As the orphans finished their meals, Beatrice spoke, “ Lew told us that we are going to accompany you on this mission.” They gave in anyway, It was not safe, only two of them, newly recruited volunteers, in a dangerous mission so terrible that I cannot even bear to think of it, until I am now forced to remember, as I write this, of course. Violet and the other Baudelaire orphans led Samantha and Nellie out of the door, with jolly Annie and Clarabel following behind. They went into the 667 Dark Avenue parking lot, while looking for an automobile with the particular licence plate that would take them. When the orphans finally found the particular automobile, they were surprised to see a woman with fiery red hair, a ‘duster’, and a hat tied with a scarf. Everybody gasped, only Annie and Clarabel did not. “......Aunt Cornelia...?” Samantha said, stunned. “What......what......what are you doing here.....?” Nellie and Violet said. Sunny and Beatrice’s mouth opened, as if to say something, but they were speechless. Aunt Cornelia smiled.

nice chapter You shouldn't care too much because you didn't finish it on time, you can take the time you need to make it good. I especially like your letter!

If time is a problem for you, you shouldn't set dates in advance. We've learnt to accept unpredictability here, on a forum where some of us have been waiting six years for a new Snicket novel.
As to the chapter itself, it's nice to see events start rolling along; as ever, your graphical accompaniments help set this story apart. I wonder if NO15KY is some kind of code... despite the K, I keep on reading it as "noisy." And it's nice that our heroine still has a relative left, at least, which is more than many can say.

NO15KY reads as NORKY, which is a slank Bahasa word to describe people like Esme Squalor. About the relative left, I guess there's still Grandmary..... remember?

I'll make sure to watch out for the new chapter early next week, then. Interesting quotation in your signature - is it from the Samantha Parkington canon?

Interesting quotation in your signature - is it from the Samantha Parkington canon? @ Dante:Oh yes. There are many nice and Snickety quotations in the series. That one was one of my favorites. That is one of the reasons I chose to have a crossover with the series, Other reasons include that she is one of the three most legendary (and oldest) AGs. The other one is that most of her family's past is shrouded in mystery so much that it 'literally has a question mark' (quoting from your WCTBATH review) on it. Yeah, that's all 4 2day!

I looked at the link you posted above chapter 4 and at the other girls. If you want to see them you can see a few other Snicket coincidences.
