If anyone here would like to arrange a Skype gathering, feel free to start a new thread. For now, let's try and stick to the topic at hand.
If people on GMT started at 7:00am, that would mean the Australians would start at 6:00pm, and it would be 1:00am on EST. If people on EST started at 7:00am, GMT would start at noon and it would be around 11:00pm for Australians. Do either of these options sound appealing, or ...?

I'm for the first option, or one hour later. The Australians can come on Sunday evening, sleep and come back on Monday morning.

The 13th theme is nice... But can we do it on the 12th? Because then those on the east coast in America at least would be able to do it at 1am on a Saturday rather than a Sunday if we went with the first option. I like that one, but I don't know what my idea means for any other parts of the world.

You don't have to be there from the beginning, nobody is there all the time, people come and go and it will be the whole day for you too. And it's easier to remember when it's always the 13th, we are lucky that it's a Sunday this month, it could also be a Tuesday or Wednesday or whatever.

In February and March the 13th is a wednesday, in April a Saturday, in May a Monday, June Thursday, July Saturday, August Tuesday, September Friday, October Sunday, November Wednesday and December Friday. So we have everything this year.

As long as you sign in sometime Sunday, it doesn't matter much if you're there at the start. We'll modify as we go along.

I was thinking Sunday would be a bad day, but now I think it's going to be the perfect day.

Now everyone thinks I'm superstitious because I know what weekday the 13th of every month this year is. I never forget calendar things when I know them once.
