Did you read the first post, Mister M? Read it again. Read the first part of the last sentence. Yeah, it's a stupid rule I know. We should make an extra thread for out of context PM quotes. The main reason I made that rule is incase someone quoted something personal from a PM. Y'know. I only had everyone's best interests at heart Of course that's what it was for, but why didn't you just say it's not allowed to quote something personal from a PM, and maybe we should ask a person before quoting their PMs?

Okay, well dude (M) that is kinda rude, sorry. The main reason I made that rule is incase someone quoted something personal from a PM. Y'know. I only had everyone's best interests at heart Of course that's what it was for, but why didn't you just say it's not allowed to quote something personal from a PM, and maybe we should ask a person before quoting their PMs? Because I'm stupid and don't think of things like this. Also I think it's more fun when you get a surprise quotation from yourself

Fun Fact : I actually have physical trouble reading. And sorry. I didn't mean to upset anyone, and i'm sorry if i did. The whole point of this thread is a quote (and, yes, not a PM. I seriously did not notice it said that until anka pointed it out) taken out of context. Don't get upset about what it means, because, well, you don't know the context.

Okay. Fair enough. Still. But yeah. I can't stay mad at you.

The context looks feasibly imaginable.

I'm still tempted to make a "pointless out of context PM quotes" thread. With rules of course, that nobody can be upset.

That sounds like a good idea

each post will include quoted permission of the person being quoted. that's a rule. or it will be deleted again.
(yes, again, mister m started one, essentially in defiance of the rules stated in this thread. it's gone now.)

Go for it. I'm sure we could include threads for emails, text messages and fb chats from 667ers, friends and family as well.

Okay, that sounds cool. And I wasnt trying to do it defiance, although the first post maybe looked that way. Id actually been wanting to make a thread like that for months, and charlies one inspired me.

(yes, again, mister m started one, essentially in defiance of the rules stated in this thread. it's gone now.) Okay, then it will probably be too complicated and nobody will ever post there. I thought about something like questions people have to think about carefully and only post if they can all be answered with "no". (Like "Does the quote contain personal information about anyone?") and the rule that if you're not sure if you can post a quote, don't quote it.

it was more that one of the two quotes he used seemed like a thinly veiled attack against me.
i know now that this isn't his intent, but if i said something like that about someone in a private conversation and it was attributed to me in the public forum, i'd probably feel bad about that.
