BSam: Thanks for pointing that out-- it's rather unintuitive, though, as the "Posts" header is just plain white text. Hermes: There's also a little line saying "Such-and-such like this" on the post itself. It doesn't seem to actually affect profiles in a way that all members can see, although the poster of the liked post gets a notification. Edit: I didn't know that names could be autolinked with an @sign. Even though one of mine went to the wrong user; it seems to require a person's original login name, which is harder to find on v5.

Well, you can see in your post at the top of the page that "Sherry Ann likes this," and I should think that anyone who visited the page would see the same thing. So it does seem to have a visible effect, though I don't know if there is any effect on one's profile.

Aren't the page links hovering in a bar at the top of the screen for you? That is, it isn't necessary for me to scroll to the top to access new pages, because the page links are always directly below the address bar. I could take a screenshot if that helps to clarify. Ah, yes, I just failed to notice the hover bar. Thanks. So, no one knows what the "Select post" option does? I think the following thing would make sense on a board with hundreds of people, where you wouldn't have time to follow everything. But on a board like this just checking the latest posts is enough to let you know what is going on. I've said the same thing, but you have to keep in mind that these changes are for all ProBoards forums, including those with hundreds of active members (where it makes sense). For this forum in particular it is indeed just a superfluous function (as for now). I didn't know that names could be autolinked with an @sign. Even though one of mine went to the wrong user; it seems to require a person's original login name, which is harder to find on v5. That's a handy adittion I guess. You probably know this, but for everyone else, you can find out a person's original log in name when hovering your mouse over the username (or, more long winded, quote the user and it says "author= username" in there).

Selecting a Post can be used to multiquote. Select one to several posts, then click on either "Reply" at the bottom of the page or "Quote" on any post, and your reply window will have them all quoted.
Edit: I see there's some rearranging going on. Chaotic Creativity has vanished into an as-yet-invisible category named "The Reckless Reading," its original home alongside HHP, LLotR, and LLiterature.

Hey,Chaotic Creativity is gone, although you can still get to it via this link. It's listed at the top as being under a section named "Reckless Reading" although no such section is visible on the homepage.

As Dante says, RR is a section that used to exist long ago.

Oh right, I skipped the end of Dante's post accidentally. My bad.

I'm surprised by the amount of people actually using that.

667 must not make very much sense to you.

I also use it all the time, except when there's too many new posts and it exceeds the "New Posts" list. It's not that confusing.

I also use it all the time.
Why should 667 make not much sense to anyone?

667 must not make very much sense to you. Same. Although the new posts can be efficient sometimes it is best to check the individual boards with the golden 667 icon. I wonder if Sherry Ann will tell me off for triple posting.
