Although the new posts can be efficient sometimes it is best to check the individual boards with the golden 667 icon. But I wouldn't know what first. And I always look at every thread where someone has posted since I looked, so the new posts thing makes sense. Most of the time I have all more or less active threads in my head.

667 must not make very much sense to you. If you just read the new posts it wouldn't make much sense, but I don't think anyone's suggesting that - just using it to reach the relevant threads. (By the way, the new posts feature no longer stops at ten, but goes on indefinitely, so you can now use it to trace all posts since you last logged in.)

It makes also sense if you read just the new post, if you do that all the time you have read all posts.
Of course using the "recent threads" things makes much more sense than the "recent posts" thing, where the posts from different threads just look like one. That's not very useful.

It makes also sense if you read just the new post, if you do that all the time you have read all posts. If you do it all the time, yes, but you would have to come here a lot, or have a prodigious memory. In other news, it isn't possible any more to copy and paste into a message, which is annoying if you want to quote more than one post at once (as well as other things).

It works in the "Quick Reply" box for me.

You can multiquote using Select Post (through the gear wheel). It's a bit clunky, though, but there appear to be a couple of ways of doing it.

The problem I have is I don't know how to make more than one quote from the same message in another message.

I click on the wheel and select 'select post', but then what? The problem I have is I don't know how to make more than one quote from the same message in another message. That's the same as ever. Click on 'quote', then delete the bits you don't want to quote, and put your comments in between the bits you do. (Double posting because cannot quote more than one post.)

Select all the posts you wish to quote and then click "Quote" on any of the selected posts. What is the trouble about copy-pasting into the message box, though? It works fine for me.

Copy-pasting works for me too. But making an @ sign doesn't : / I have to write it somewhere else and then copy paste it into the reply box, which is highly unpractical when I'm directly talking to another member.

Select all the posts you wish to quote and then click "Quote" on any of the selected posts. You can also click "Reply," or "Quote" on the final post you want to add to your multiquote. I suppose it wouldn't work if you wanted to quote multiple posts from across multiple pages, though. But I can paste in the Reply window just fine. Maybe it's an issue with different browsers or related programs.

Maybe because it was seen to be too much of a divisive issue on proboards as a whole?
