I doubt they invited it, but I think they might eat them a lot more than most places. At my house in Paraguay our maid made us ham and cheese mistos for breakfast every day. EVERY SINGLE DAY. I got so sick of them.

Hey I don't think I ever asked: what were you doing in Paraguay?

Aww, I haven't thought about Maddox in years. *memories* 3. Pão de Queijo, 8. Mousse de Maracujá, 17. Romeu e Julieta (I never knew this had a name but omg so good!), 19. Requeijão, and 20. Mandioca Frita are some of the best things ever. So much of Paraguay experience was actually stolen food/culture/words from Brazil. Would you guys keep the little glass requeijao containers? We had about a million as little cups. I have these cups HAHAHAHA. Actually we have just three or four because we broke the rest of them. I miss the time when the cups had drawings of animations that I used to like when I was a kid. ): Today the cups are only... cups T______T Okay, I think 22 looks awesome. It looks like the kind of thing where you eat one bit and then you're sick but it just tastes so amazing that you keep eating it until it's gone. My mother does Pavê everytime we have some visitor. At Christmas it's very popular here. And the joke about this food is so terrible that I wanna cry when someone tell it. T_T

In Venezuela their big traditional Christmas foods were loaves of bread with ham rolled into them and a cold chicken salad with mayonnaise. It was an underwhelming meal.

I love salmon so I wouldn't complain. People here generally do ham or turkey on Christmas too. In my family we usually do whatever fancyish thing we feel like, so sometimes it's lobster or prime rib or cornish game hens or some combination of all of those.

Acarajé, and shrimp moqueca (moqueca baiana) are my favorites.
