I'm pretty sure that last one is Shakespeare, but I noticed it'd already been done so I didn't bother trying to figure it out.

It's actually Lord Byron, from a few centuries after Shakespeare. But now that you mention it, here's a good one of his:
Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea But sad mortality over'ways their power, How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea, Whose action is no stronger than a flow'r? O, how shall summer's ho'ey breath hold out Against the wrackful siege of batt'ring 'ays, When rocks impregnable are not so stout, Nor gates of steel so strong, but Ti' decays? O fearful medi'ation! w're, alack, Shall Time's best je'el from Time's chest lie hid? 'R what st'ong hand can hold his swift foot back? Or who his spoil of beauty can forbi'? O, none, unless this miracle have might, That in ' ink my love may still shine bright.

Congratulations to Terry Craig!!!!
Otherwise known as Black Elephant Head of Death!!! Otherwise known as Terry Tumbleweed!! Otherwise known as other things! Amongst other things (not amongst other things), Terry wins a by-now-only-kind-of-new edition of Lemony Snicket's book, File Under: 13 Suspicious Incidents. Although I think he already has it, so the real prize will be the possibility of me accidentally sending my signed copy instead. Alternatively, he could donate it to some book charity, or he could donate it to some other 667er, or he could donate it to a meat life friend, or he could keep it for himself. I mean, he might have just gotten it from the library before, I have no idea. Congratulations again!! Although the majority of this competition was resentment for the anonymous host, I am pleased to note that there was also some amount of jealousy, deceit, and bonds made/broken. For those of you who couldn't or didn't want to keep up, here's a recap of all the fun challenges put forth: - Except for Teleram, the people who "signed up" at the very beginning were put into a poll, and Sophie pretty much won it.
- A secret link was placed on my profile page under Website, on the picture of the Western Hemisphere, and on one of my drawings in the Draw A Bird thread. It led to this, which is just a mess by now, but at some point it was really cool and trippy. The first person to find the link was Kyle.
- Another secret link was placed in Mister M's signature, on his MoTM banner. Willis was the first to find that it led to this, which no one really paid attention to, so I stopped putting fun things on it. Way to be, guys!
- A "secret" link was put in the hand picture, because Bee predicted a link would appear there. It led to this, which included a fun song about lazy bees, but nobody got the hint so I had to scrap it.
- I threw a bone for everyone in an attempt to get the competition deceit-y again, and Rellim won the easy challenge of posting second.
- Then I decided to go back to basics, and I posted a big block of text with the font color the same as the link color. One letter was an actual link, however, and Rellim was the first to find it and do the stuff.
- Then BSam banned me for three hours and gave me a strike. It was super scary and I'll never forgive him.
- Every hour for about a day, I posted quotes from this defunct 667 LiveJournal community, which features Carma and Songbird as children. Aww! Willis eventually realized that the objective was to find the community and follow the instructions posted there, which he then did.
- In an attempt to quench Pandora's desire to participate more, I posted a weird Sterek fanfic (which may or may not be an oxymoron). However, she just got weirded out, and did not win the challenge, which was pretty much just to read it. Because somewhere in the last third there is a hidden sentence that says, "Send me a personal message with the word woof." Terry was the only one brave enough to do this; it was the commencement of an impressive Terry Invasion.
- July of 2004 was a popular month for Menacing Miscellaneous, and one of the thread memes was the concept of asking everyone what they thought you looked like. I took advantage of this and found the threads of some people who are still known today, such as Rellim and Antenora and Charlotte. These decade-old guesses took the form of Daily Doubles for the competition, for reasons unknown. Nobody guessed the first two.
- But then Pandora guessed Charlotte correctly.
- I eventually became aware that nobody cared about the Bandies Tumblr, so I posted there with instructions to reward whomever still bothered to look at it. It was kind of unfair, because Duchess and Terry had actually started following it before, but I still awarded Terry a win for being a bit brighter than Duchess.
- A morse code message was posted, and once translated it revealed another code, known as the Caesarian cipher. Terry finished decoding it first.
- Using the Verse Fluctuation Declaration code that appears in TGG, I altered an excerpt of the Lord Byron poem, "Manfred." Terry finished decoding it first.
- Using the Switch-Out-Letters-And-Words-For-Apostrophes code, I altered my favorite Shakespeare poem, "Sonnet 65." Terry finished decoding it first, and therefore won the competition.

I totally could have won this if I hadn't ignored it until just a couple days ago.

WOOOOT! I honestly didn't expect to win when I entered the Bandies, but by the end I got really caught up in the mystery solving and Bam. I actually find it kinda sad that it's over. I thought there was gonna be a final boss showdown thing. I'm also saying this because I never intended to win the prize, since I do have a copy of it. I am incredibly impressed, though, that Bandit is hinting at being willing to give up his signed copy. No, instead I'd like to donate the prize to someone who doesn't have a copy of FU13 at all and furthermore, hasn't gotten into ATWQ yet (and seemed close to winning at one point): Betsy! I hope this will get you into the series and that you'll enjoy it (you better enjoy it) cos I think you will. And thanks to Bandit for providing us with such a fun chalk chase game involving some classy-ass choice literature, and even almost getting himself banned in the process. If this wasn't parallel to the Darkies I totally would've nominated and voted for this to be Best Thread. And of course, thanks for the prize, which Betsy will enjoy for me. I hope there will be another Bandies next year. EDIT: wait a minute, now that I think about it I couldn't care less about the book Maybe Betsy doesn't deserve the book after all, so next in line would be Fredy/Pen, who I know doesn't have the book either (I'm sure he can tell his parents that he won the book in a contest). But I'm gonna say it's Betsy's call to decide who gets the fantastic prize.

Oh wow, Terry, thank you so much! I too am quite sad that the Bandies are over. I wish I hadn't been so busy during the tail end of them. My comment about the book was meant primarily as a statement of how much I was enjoying the tasks and puzzles in themselves, rather than participating as a means to attain a prize. I was not expecting to win and had doubts that Bandit was actually going to send the prize, though it now seems he's serious. I would gladly accept a copy of the book! I would really like to read it. I had to read bits of it for a Big Brother challenge and enjoyed the fragments I read. I'm also positive Fredy would never let anything be sent to him, even if it was a free book, so I don't feel bad about not letting him have a chance to get it either.
Thank you Bandit for putting together this fun and entertaining event and thank you Terry for donating your rightfully earned prize to me. I'm honored and grateful!

Congratulations Terry!
Thanks for doing this, Bandit. (I think it should definitely be eligible for Best Thread in 2015. I think it's a problem with Best Thread that we often don't remember threads, so let's make a note of it.)
And BSam really banned you? Since you posted again shortly afterwards, I assumed it was a joke. If I had known it was real I would certainly have continued my protest. In fact, I protest now.
