Sometimes I love things that aren't boring too.

My jobs have included gardener, builders' supplier, bank teller, accountancy intern, barman, bellhop, actor, catering supplier, and now I work in advertising. I think I've finally settled.

Apart from what I do now, I have, like some others here, worked in a library. I have also been a virger (or verger).
(Why is this in DD?)

Oh, I guess it should've been in general MMisc. I'm terrible at deciding which board to start a thread in; sorry. I wasn't sure what a virger was so I looked it up and apparently it's a pretty much obsolete profession, so that must've been a while ago. Sixteen, any favourite, apart from advertising?

Another instance of Wikipedia spreading lies then. Maybe the virger's tasks have shifted over time, but yeah, I recall seeing people with this specific staff in churches, now that you mention it.

Have just checked Wikipedia and it seems fairly accurate - though too precise about what virgers wear. The bit about it dying out seems to relate only to Catholic churches. (Though even there I feel it's an exaggeration.)

Moseymoo's jobs sounds exciting!
I've worked: in a church nursery, lifeguard, swim instructor, information technologies office assistant, academic technologies intern (building online courses and helping professors use the technology available to them), Social justice/volunteer group coordinator (managing multiple weekly volunteer groups, planning one-time service activities and educational events on social justice issues), nursing teaching assistant (running weekly skill check offs for sophomore/junior nursing students), I had a summer internship in neurotrauma at a level 1 trauma hospital (potato ing awesome), and now I'm a nurse on a med/surf unit focused on strokes, renal failure, and congestive heart failure.
Currently working on job applications and it's stressful and sucks. The best job was lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons. Did it for six summers and I miss it a ton.

Resurrecting this thread. I've since worked at a cinema, the bar counter of a live venue, and am currently a cashier while still looking for a film-related internship. Fml I'm a failure

I have a high demand shelving job at my city's library; and I don't even have to worry about transportation because I have the same hours as my mom, who's the head bookmobile driver. Not that it's nepotism or anything, but it's totally nepotism. lie i've never had a job.
