I'm a freelance illustrator now. Lately I've been drawing storyboards for my film friends who are in grad school. But ultimately I'd like to create children's picture books and comics. My last job was a janitor at my college. It's interesting how many conversations you get to overhear -- people really don't notice you after a while. Kinda made me feel like the Baudelaires in the Hotel Denouement

I worked for a semester in an analytical development laboratory for a pharmochemistry company. It was a really enjoyable time in my life, especially because of learning and having the opportunity to work alongside a great friend. I met interesting people, and I dealt with dangerous products ... which was exciting.

I'm still working full time in libraries.Lots of interesting aspects to the job, though the continuing tighetning of pockets and shrinking of the service make it quite a challenging environment to work in sometimes...still using windows 7 computers for gods sake! Been in the same place for three years nearly now which is nice to have some continuity I guess.

Hey good thread idea, you're a funny guy. Question: I'm 153cm tall, can I go on all the rides? Also I think I might know where you worked. I volunteered in a library and am due to start a job in ~retail~ come summer. I also used to sell essays along with some friends to some less academically able students. Update: Now 160cm tall. Also lmao at 15 year old me trying to be edgy here Currently I'm about halfway through a master's in renewable energy engineering, and due to start work as an engineer full time in September. Since posting in this thread last I have been a paid researcher, flyerer, delivery cyclist, au pair, teaching assistant and currently I give maths and physics tuition to school kids to support myself

I did more dance teaching after posting here last (teaching my own class instead of helping in someone else's). While I was at university I was also a teaching assistant for the programming course of the year below me, which mostly included grading homework.
Now I'm a SQL developer.

I have had three jobs in food service, but due to COVID and school I had to quit my last job. I hope after I finish the academic year in November that I can find a job in a second-hand shop or in a bookshop.

I've also had some fun jobs. Foodservice, a pool, then foodservice at a pool, a toy store, a bakery, and now I teach music. It's super cool to see what others are up to.
