and the slay of the week goes to: violent bun fortuna for guessing
the cinematic masterpiece is the mortal instruments: city of bones btw
Ah it’s not one of those Shadowhunter films is it? Actually now I say that I think there’s just one film and then a tv series? Idk. That’s my very vague guess anyway. yes queen take a turn, queen

you can take my turn, bry-bry :* OH OK beautiful looking movie. I watched with pirated captions that wereee not the best so I should revisit with an official translation sometime since it's def dialogue-centered

Decision to Leave! I enjoyed it - top-quality production - but I feel like the transition from crime mystery to romance didn't really gel for me, perhaps due to the way it was written. Second half also felt a bit repetitive after the first. The editing was interesting some times, and other times just confusing (probably intentional, tho).

I think the cinematography/direction/design was the best part and I suspect the writing was better than I caught on to. I wish I spoke Korean and Mandarin so I could understand the intricacy of the interactions between the main two. The lead lady was magnetic still anyway, but I've read that in speaking mandarin as a korean character she would make certain word choices that weren't totally correct but would sound poetic. Just a cool element that I didn't totally catch on to.
And the shift between crime and romance caught me off guard too. I thought it was the translation issue but now I think I understand it's just a function of the movie, and I enjoy that twist. And fuccck the ending stays with me.
anyway ur turn bb
