Here is a bit of new info that the books don't tell us, based on Curry's and Snicket's portrayals; Georgina Orwell is Russian Phil is a Southerner in Snicket's portrayal (Which Curry abandons in his portrayal in TGG) Captain Widderhins and Fiona are Scottish I went and listened to some of TGG audiobooks and they aren't scottish what

He doesn't do the accent very well, but I'd agree that it's meant to be Scottish.

Poor attempt, but it is not a doubt an attempt at Scottish.

Loved the audiobooks. Like Linda, I checked them out from the library and fell asleep listening to them.
TEE was great to listen to, which I did when the book wasn't available to borrow. After [Esme throws the Baudelaires down the elevator shaft], Curry leaves this long, long silence for the blank pages. So suspenseful to listen to, especially with my first time experiencing the story.
Also I have no idea how to do the spoilery thing, so I've done this^^

Things like "Esme is a villain" are based on books that came out long ago, so a spoiler tag is not necessary.
