Woo I get to use this thread now. I listened to Storm Warning, the first eight story, on BSam's recommendation, and I had a ball, even if it didn't turn out as steampunky as I'd first hoped. So yay onward to whatever the next episode is. If musicals count, I was listening to Avenue Q earlier for its nostalgia value.

After being a terrible person and forgetting about big finish for a while, I listened to and enjoyed The Stones of Venice, complete with necromancy themes and sudden pontificating about Liza Minnelli's childhood. I love Charley and her slightly limited use of sarcasm.

So Minuet in Hell wasn't good, even if some of the concepts were. I gathered that people are habitually warned away from this audio but hey I wanted to try it anyway. Suggestions for where to go from here BSam and/or Isadora Is a Door?

if you continue with the 8th doctor stories, you're not far away from The Chimes of Midnight, which is amazing

Invaders from mars was alright but I had very high expectations since the war of the worlds radio play is one of my favourite entertainment history stories and I grumpily didn’t think it did it justice. Next on the agenda is seasons of fear apparently.

Robophobia

Seasons of fear, which was meh, and embrace the darkness which I enjoyed a lot but it was obviously no chimes of midnight or anything. Robophobia one you should hear lemona, especially if you continue to listen to Eight's adventures. Well I at least want to reach scherzo after you hyped it.

Neverland. shrug. i liked the dissipation concept but got very sick of over the top dialogue, particularly my girl charley's speech when she was intending to die. Incurred a lot of eye-rolling that i assume it wasn't supposed to.
the time of the daleks was pretty awesome though, as any story about an extreme shakespeare purist of a dictator who's willing to try to form a partnership with the daleks would have to be.
Next in my eight run is zagreus which has been described by experts (i.e. sam) as "a giant mess" and i'm also going to give demons of red lodge, which I know very little about, a shot. woo.
