I've been reading All the Wrong Questions and came to the part where S. Theadora Markson tells Snicket about training Bertrand Baudelaire and I realized that I couldn't remember which ASOUE dropped Bertrand's name. Was it The End?

'Twas in Chapter 6 of TPP, in which Sunny remembers her parents playing backgammon. I believe that's the only time it comes up.

Strictly speaking, the name "Bertrand" is first mentioned, and in relation to Beatrice, in the notes in The Bad Beginning Rare Edition - but it wasn't clear at the time that these were the names of the Baudelaire parents. |
