I didn't find any, but one could assume that "the city" is the same city Snicket departs from in book 1 or if even SBTS

Yes, it's generally agreed that the city is the same, as are the locations within it - most notably the Fountain of Victorious Finance - but it doesn't seem likely that there is any other crossover. It was speculated, back before the first book had come out and we knew a few things about the setting but not its name, that it might be set in the town of Lake Lachrymose, but of course that didn't work out either.

Thanks. Keep eyes peeled for more connections

On an interview with Daniel Handler he said that he gave all the characters names from different origins to confuse the readers.

I might have chosen the word "interest" rather than "confuse" myself, but there you go. The series has an intentionally universal flavour.

In "File Under: 13 Suspicious Incidents" there is mention of Paltryville when Moxie mentions an optometrist with poor reviews (most likely Dr. Orwell), I believe this is in chapter 2.

I had forgotten all about that. Well-observed.
