Basically, there aren't as many new songs, good or bad, to choose from as there are old ones. Maybe you haven't had percentages in school yet.

I meant as many good modern songs compared to good old songs. I have learned about percentages in school, but I'm extremely slow in maths. I'm sorry for my mistake.

I don't think 90% of old songs are bad.

No, they're just average.
Also, the actual percentage of average old songs might be lower (about 80%, I guess? 10% is good, 10% is bad)

*hem hem* Lets keep this arguing to a minimum. We're just here to have fun, and everyone has their own opinion. Does anyone here know cheers like those you would find bouncing around at sport events or summer camps?

'Good song' is based on opinion. No, they're just average. Also, the actual percentage of average old songs might be lower (about 80%, I guess? 10% is good, 10% is bad) You're a walking paradox, Tryina.

Maybe you haven't had percentages in school yet. Don't be patronising. I find it pathetic that you're willing to quibble with a fourteen year old girl twisting your words around when she's a) fourteen and b) self taught in English.

I can see how it might've come across that way. I assure you, I wasn't, though. As to quibbling, I call it conversation, and I have no qualms doing so with a fourteen year old.

Definitely on team 'Old song' here, provided 70s-stuff qualifies as old. And then let's not think too deeply about the fact that I wasn't able to think of an old song involving a 'B'-sound.

More people on here are likely to know old songs and sing along

I was replying to Bandit's post for the second one. Quibbling with people much older than me is my hobby! Also, @peppermince, you make me wanna start a fight club in here. (JK.)
