how the hell is "literally did not write this" not a basis for disqualification?

It should be, but then someone would have to look at all the nominated things and prove if they were actually written by the person or not. I don't want to be that someone. If you want to do that, you can.

what? that's ridiculous. if a person did not really write something it would be immediately obvious and someone would point it out, which is what happened in this case. that excuse makes no more sense than someone nominating me for best new member and you saying "oh well, there's no absolute complete way to know if bear is really bandit, and confirming yes or no would require me to check if everyone else was really a new member, sooo...."

Well it wasn't obvious to me, how am I supposed to know that? I haven't even read the thing. I can't just take a nomination out just because someone says it wasn't written by the person, without giving any more information about that (like a link or something). Also nobody pointed out that it was still on the nomination list at the end of the nominations. Also I thought if she actually didn't write it and it was as obvious as everyone thinks it is, nobody would vote for it.
If anyone can actually tell me what this whole thing is without me having to read anything weird, it will be disqualified.

Okay. Is it okay if I just leave the poll like this and the votes for the thing don't count? Because otherwise I would have to create a new poll and everyone who has already voted will have to vote again.

If something is nominated then its nominated, i think people should be able to vote for it regardless. (I think my nomiantion for bandit and his ego should have counted for best pairing, but it doesn't. Whatever, I don't want there to be a whole debate about this.)

other ineligible nominations were rightfully not counted, so there's no reason this one should be. the end.

The general rules for nominations is one of the things that should be discussed at the start, when there is a first thread about the Darkies and people are asked if they have any general ideas.
Single nominations being added to the list or not should be mentioned as soon as you notice them, with some explanation and making clear that it's not a joke. It would have been better to discuss this with more people, but at this point it is just too late for that and I have to decide by the rules for each category that you can find in the nomination threads.
