Episode 3 comments
the good - Uncle monty is just brilliant. - And I like how they gave him a larger part in getting rid of stephano - Zombies in the snow was fantastic, with the low production values and the sebald code replacement
the bad - .... nah, not really anything I can think of
The episode also worked really on its own, which is also good. 9/10

Episode 4 comments
the good the parallel klaus / viloet sequences worked well i'm finally sold on jacquelyn everything with the hook handed man's fake hands
the bad not too keen on all of the troupe being there the 'weapons increasing in size' sequence was stupid mr poe grated a bit today
overall i've liked TRR a lot more 8/10

And his next line... "learn to tell the dangerous from the good..." "dangerous" and "good" are not antonyms, nor are they mutually exclusive. Who is writing these lines?! Yep, this line is objectively bad. The Baudelaires should stay suspicious.

Hey, so I'm a bad fan and actually just getting on to finally watching the series now. I won't say much, because I'm sure it's already been said, but is Jacquelyn some kind of replacement for Jacques? And what were those weird ~vibes~ between her and olaf at the end of episode 4??? Can anyone give me an insight into this *without* spoilers, thanks.
I like all the VFD backstory and subplot, but I don't like the fact the Baudelaire parents are still alive! Makes me fearful that The End is a happily ever after reunion, although I hope with Handler working on the show it's not going to be like that. To me the Baudelaire parents are supposed to be mysterious figures (in particular Beatrice) so the fact that we see them Alive and such multiple times actually bothers me quite a bit.

Keep watching, it will resolve some of your questions. 2. Jacques is a distinct character from Jacquelyn and appears later on.

Did anyone else ever catch that on the coroner's van Count Olaf's henchmen showed up in - instead of the word "coroner" it says "corner" on the side? Hahaha!

Jacques never looked like Olaf, though. The whole point was that he looked completely different but just happened to have a monobrow. Thank you for pointing it out so much! I am getting tired of people saying Olaf and Jacques were look alikes.
