My appearance in this forum may not ring any bells for the most of you, but my associate (she being a frequent lurker also,) recommended I make what it is you're currently reading: My introduction. The location this post is coming from is, of course, the grand city of London, England, for I'm here studying film, an art that has always fascinated me. However, even though I love it, I very often require help understanding its many complexities. Yet the chimes of Big Ben makes it all worthwhile. Studying in a city this brilliant - despite its filthy air - fills me with an emotion almost close to that of mild excitement.
But enough about me, I am glad to have the opportunity to enter your community here on Dark Avenue, and to enjoy the hours of shared whimsy and woe I have yet to endure.
Regards,
The Brigadier

Hello and welcome to 667!
I'm a recent arrival, too - it seems that lots of us are crawling up out of the woodwork just in time for the new series!
Film studies sounds like a lot of fun, and I hope you'll enjoy sharing your thoughts on the show from your academic position.

"For frequent is coming for me help"
I can't tell if you hid Sebald code and messed up a little at the beginning, or if you didn't and your words just formed an almost-message by sheer coincidence.

Whoops I did; I'll chalk it up to my eyes being tired from staring at a computer all day at work. "For frequent reading of studying though many" makes even less sense though.

While you're right that, at least for me, it didn't cause any bells to ring, your introduction has been pleasant to read. If you're in any distress, just ask anyone on 667 - that's not always helpful, but is better than doing nothing. Can I mention that I have noted your username - is this a Doctor Who thing? Not sure how I would know; having only seen the new version, I can tell he's a character, but not much about him. What I mean is, welcome to 667, and if you need any help, you can always ring for it. Hope you'll have fun here!

Thank you, Marmoset. Funnily enough our current unit is about adaptation, and different ways one may be able to take a text and fully realise it on screen. And thank you, Cowmet. It's comforting to know that 667 has such a nice community behind it. Unfortunately not, it is a reference lost within obscurity behind a title I that was once bequeathed unto me.

Hello The Brigadier, and welcome to the forum. It is a shame that your username references something too obscure to be properly appreciated. I didn't realise this was a sad occasion.
