Mine arrived on Monday. They're very nice actually. The covers look really sharp, the series name is printed with a gloss so it stands out. The back cover of every book features the pattern from the top of the box, except matching the color of the spine. Snicket's warnings remain on the back cover. The overall look is simple but sleek and feels a little bit reminscient of the UK editions.
The interior remains exactly the same as the original hardback editions right down to the paperstock. TBB features an excerpt from ATWQ, but the others do not.
The box is a bit on the disappointing side. The cardboard is pretty thin. The spine shows a picture of the four books contained. The back features a warning message from Snicket. It's almost identical to the back of TBB except it says box instead of book and the list of unpleasantness contained within features elements from all four books.
For the $30 price on Amazon this is actually a really good box set. The covers are a bit hit and miss but nonetheless look really sleek in person. It's a good mix of old and new and I really appreciate the effort they put into this set. I think it's definitely a step above the average tie-in product.

Thanks for the review. It sounds as if HarperCollins and Little, Brown must have finally struck a deal to cross-promote in a meaningful way, with the first chapter of the other series appearing in the first book of each Netflix-type edition, and it's nice to know that one of the series still gets the treatment it deserves. The box sounds relatively low-effort, but only vanilla HarperCollins ASoUE ever got decent box sets with fresh art, so perhaps we were simply spoiled by those.

A handsome back cover, but I am rather bothered by the V.F.D. insignia's alignment being different between the header image and the background.
