Patrick Warburton just posted this picture of himself standing next to former Sex Pistols guitarist and current actor Steve Jones. https://www.instagram.com/p/BikrmphHJjT I don't think he's been cast in the show, but I figure that it still technically qualifies as potential casting news.

I agree that it may be a bit too much “explicit”, but you have to consider that everything else is totally explicit. You can’t have in an audiovisual format the subtilities that come from a novel/series of books. The books have the wonderful experience that you can re read them and go back whenever you want, and follow the words at your own rhythm. Movies and tv shows work differently, and honestly there’s just too much going on the background of the books to be left that way on tv. They need to be more precise in what they’re talking about. Plus, once again, the little romance certainly must come from Netflix itself... they have to put a bit of romance to make sure they will get back some of the HUGE amount of money they put into it. It could’ve been much worse, and simply show Violet and Duncan kissing and making out. It is a bit sad, but compared to all the beauty and essence of Lemony Snicket that has been profoundly captured, I don’t mind those small details. I don't agree with this - in fact I think it's the opposite. In audiovisual formats, you get much more subtle easter eggs, and chances to develop characterisation through the actors' facial expressions, body language etc. A book would have to say "Klaus smiled at Isadora", something it's hard to miss while reading it, while the show could just have a quick shot of him smiling subtly in response to her. Also, I think it's a bit silly to suggest that a show needs to have romantic storylines in order to do well; the first series of ASOUE did just fine (as far as I know) with no shipping involving the Baudelaire children. If it came from Netflix rather than Handler or the writers then this makes me even less convinced that it was a good idea (though I believe Netflix is general better than most TV channels when it comes to executive meddling - not that network interference is always a bad thing).

Given the lack of goodbye photos, wrap parties, etc... from the cast and crew's Instagram accounts, there's a small but persistent part of me that's wondering if the show actually finished shooting yesterday.

Given the lack of goodbye photos, wrap parties, etc... from the cast and crew's Instagram accounts, there's a small but persistent part of me that's wondering if the show actually finished shooting yesterday. After engaging in a bit of amateur sleuthing [read: about 20 mins. of basic googling] I now think that there is a chance that the show (or at the very least Louis Hynes) wraps on either the 10th or the 11th. Louis Hynes uploaded this on Monday and said that his exams were a week away, not much to go on there, https://www.instagram.com/p/BidLVzPBbgD but then I remembered this recent interview in which he says that his GCSE's start 3 days after he finishes filming. 3 days away from this upcoming Monday is Friday the 11th. Also, he says in this post from the 26th of April, that he and Malina Weissman only have two weeks of filming left. https://www.instagram.com/p/BiCe8VIh_JM Two weeks from the 26th of April takes us right up to the 10th of May.

Interesting, and it makes sense. Olaf’s day isn’t everyone’s last day, maybe they are filming Chapter Fourteen.

Considering Olaf and the Baudelaires are probably done filming now, I'm pretty sure Patrick Warburton is the one left.

Another goodbye post on the private Instagram of one of the show's crewmembers. It feels weird, seeing such an honest, cheerful smile on Count Olaf's features.

See my last post. :Edit: Interesting to see that the second unit will still be filming after this week.
