Hi I'm oxymoron (but you can call me josie)I've been reading lemony snicket's books since 6th grade but this is only the second forum I've joined the first was the 17th shard (brandon sanderson's fan run forum he finished the wheel of time after Robert died and wrote mistborn) and from my experience with that community i find myself considering that fandoms often reflect the author in attitude and tone (ex. Brandon sanderson is an obsessed fantasy author and his fans are obsessed fantasy readers) so my question to you what is the culture of this forum? Running jokes? Big clans or guilds? What are the other fandoms you are a part of? Is art the main focus or is roll playing?

Some of us are very analytical and type like we're writing a dissertation, while others are sarcastic and don't use capital letters, and sometimes people are a mixture of both.

Hi Josie! Welcome to 667.
As you say, in some ways fandoms take after the creators of the things they like. If not in other ways, then simply because the one thing we all have in common here is that we enjoy that thing - which surely Daniel Handler must, too, since he bothered to create it. So, going by that logic: I think 667'ers generally enjoy satire and sharp rhetorical wit. I think we generally acknowledge that bad things sometimes happen to good people, but also that when those bad things happen, the option remains to volunteer, literally or figuratively. And I think we generally value being well-read and noble enough.
