I draw a lot of things with questionable skill, and considering how much I have sunk back into the World of Snicket through discovering both the Netflix Series and 667, it was only a matter of time before this happened. To start with, the atrocious aristocratic actor, the villainous and fiendish dramatist himself… And no, that sooty face is not just make-up. And, because a stage director is as lost without his actors as a villainous mastermind is without his minions, here are the henchmen (including an extra Wart-Faced Man, free of charge): (As you can see, I have tried to distance myself from the Netflix show and go back to how I first envisioned the characters, though I'm afraid I can never unsee the White-Faced Women as vaguely unhinged old ladies.) Be sure to tell me what you think!

Very nice! Olaf is prematurely aged by a a life of villainy, I see. And yes, that image of the WFW is very compelling, though the books actaally suggest they are younger, if Olaf burnt their house down when they were children. Some people have speculated that they are Zada and Zora from ATWQ.

I really like your style of drawing. All the sharp angles in the clothing and the faces give the villains an edgy look. Do you ever draw the protagonists, too? I would sure enjoy seeing more of your artwork!

Thanks for the kind words, Foxy ; and I hadn't yet, but you gave me the spark to do so, so cheers! There we go: the Baudelaire orphans, Inky, and a shadowy Lemony to watch over their destiny, as is his grim duty: Not entirely happy with Violet, but overall I like how this one turned out. Also, bonus doodle of the Sinister Duo to solidify my vision of that dastardly pair before the Netflix Season 3 comes in and interferes:

neat. your artwork, esp. count olaf in the OP, reminds me a bit of the illustrations of philip ardagh's eddie dickens books (which in turn seem to have been inspired by ASoUE's success).

My favorites are your renditions of Sunny and Viper. Sunny is adorable in her little onesie, and I love how Viper is looking at her! Is Sunny wearing a hat?

That totally makes sense now. I thought it was a pint of beer with the head overflowing from the glass. I love the chef's hat; what a fantastic idea!

Having been blown away by the Netflix Sinister Duo, I couldn't help but return to the drawing board with a specifically Netflix-based version of the MWABNH and a child who may or may not be the child slave from before the Schism: And here is MWBBNH throughout the years. A bit of background on that one: as I said I love the Netflix portrayal, but I also had my own version of the MWHBNB, as seen earlier in this very thread, as the man from TSS and TPP. So to fold the Netflix version back into my regular-series headcanon, my idea is to make his Netflix self the one from the Baudelaire parents' youth, the man who started the Schism; and to have him age into the rougher, older man I previous pictured, whom the Baudelaire orphans unfortunately encountered.

Cool! Is this Olaf? Who is the other villain? And what's the deal with the phone?

It is a younger Olaf, yes. The girl, as you may note from the pencil, is actually a young Kit — not villainous, just… a little mischievous, shall we say. She *did* fall in love with Olaf and all that.
Congratulations for noticing the importance of the phone, but I can hardly say what the point of it is without it being something of a spoiler…
