I volunteered to present an award, but now I'm not really prepared for it. I guess that makes me a bad volunteer. Fortunately a lot of people here are good volunteers and actually think about their award presentations before they post them. But we also have the Best Volunteer award, which is not even anything to do with any award presentations (except for the fact that it is being presented in one) or anything like that, it is, according to the thing that I copy and paste into several threads every year, an award for a member who has shown great devotion for Lemony Snicket's work in the past year. The nominated vounteers are Zortegus, Dante, gothicarchiesfan, Hermes, Terry Craig and thedoctororwell. Each of them got at least one vote, but the winner with 4 votes is: Congratulations  |

Congrats Zortegus and Linda on this excellent result!
As Mister M will no doubt tell us, this gives Linda an award she has not won before.
And congrats gothicarchesfan! I won't preempt Mister M by going into the the significance of this one, but it's certainly quite an achievement.

Cheers to Zort and Linda's friendship, and congarats to gothicarchiesfan! who did the most notorious banner? i don't use darkies banners but it's really good Zortegus sent it to me but he didn't say who made it ... that's a bit disheartening. wasn't there talk (last year) of including each banner-maker's name along with the Darkie banner they did? Anyway, I did the most notorious banner, and knowing that some people choose not to use them, i collect all 667 banners I've done through the years here, so that's where I'll post already posted the newest ones as well. snoretegus also missed to send Linda's Best Writing banner to the presenter, so you'll have to look out for it in my art thread as well. I, for one, would like to know who made the Best volunteer banner, as the Olaf cartoon is great! |

I forgot to tell Bun but I did tell the others who did each banner! (EDIT: I actually told Bun who did it, she probably missed that part haha) There's been a little bit of confusion on my side, since my role helping with the Darkies was kinda unclear (I mainly contacted both the artists and the presenters). Iirc, none of the Darkies ceremonies I've been part of included the banners on the presentations, and those were sent to the winners via PM. That's why I didn't send them earlier to the presenters  sorry Terry! |

Best Pairing - Linda winning this award is pretty nifty becuase, as Hermes said, its a first for her. Its also a first for Zort as well.
Best Volunteer - gothicarchiesfan becomes one of the few to win 3 or mroe awards in one year (although so do a few others this year). Hermes has now come second in best volunteer four times.
