Hello folks, some of you may remember that a few months back I was planning a complete timeline of Lemony Snicket's complete written works, for a reading marathon. I can confirm that I gave up on that idea, and am now back to maybe having a reading marathon in publication order. Recently I've been looking back on some old threads, including Mr. Erm's communal re-read of '12, and of course the Great 667 Re-Read. This year is not only the 20th anniversary of Snicket, but the 10th anniversary of this re-read, which proposed many different theories. I personally believe, if there's enough interest, to have another re-read, or a re-re-re-read. Maybe starting with TBB next week? Seems simple enough, if we start off with a book a week for the shorter ones, and maybe turn to two weeks at some point when the books get longer? We can just have a chat, propose theories etc. Obviously many members have joined since 2009/12, so the conversation could be very different. If anybody wants to Volunteer, then comment below, and we can see how many people would be interested?

With the Netflix series having just wrapped up, there's probably no better time to do this; it would make an interesting point of comparison.
Mind, were there an audience for it, I also think an ATWQ reread would be a good idea.

Beethoven's 5th, anyone? You get a resounding "YES!" from me. I would love to be part of a reread. And I agree with Dante, I would love to reread ATWQ. I have only read them each one time.

Yeah, ATWQ sounds good. I was thinking we could start with ASOUE, do TUA and TBL at the appropriate intervals, then go on to do ATWQ. All going well, we'll be done just in time for Poison for Breakfast. Are you two both cool to start off with TBB next week (as in week commencing 25th February)? I know it's a bit short notice, but there's no time like the present!

Unfortunately, I'm not sure to what extent I can commit; partly because of time, partly because I've simply reread the books so many times that there's no longer any novelty left to mine from the experience. But I'll be happy to chip in with my thoughts and comments.

Foxy: Yay! @dante: Fair enough. I know that you must know the books forwards, backwards and sidewards, so if you would like to chip in with discussion, it'd be much appreciated.

Despite having reread the books countless times I’ve never actually participated in a 667 re-read so I’d be up for joining in with this. 🙂

I’d do this as well! I have the ATWQ series on a shelf but haven’t read it yet. Hello, hello, hello! I have to admit, I've only ever read half of ATWQ, and I've never read TUA or TBL, so it'll be some new experiences for us both.

I've finally started a commonplace book after all these years because I am so excited about this!
