Welcome! It's always nice to welcome new people here! Tell us, what type of content do you like about ASOUE? Have you read ATWQ? Do you like other content related to Daniel Handler? I really like ASOUE and ATWQ theories. And I'm trying to write a Fanfic. Soon you should read something written by Dante, who is one of the administrators. He is incredible. All our managers are amazing.
If you would like to write about ASOUE, we have the Sardornic Series section where you can start. Over there ideas flow ... It's my favorite section.

I've just finished ASOUE and started watching the Netflix series ~ (I'm on Ep. 2). I'm about to read ATWQ soon, as soon as I can find it at my library. As for what type of content I like about AS OUR, I like reading Fan Fiction about it - GOOD Fanfiction 😄 - and I also like videos (like of theories or tributes to it). And yes, I do like other content related to Daniel Handler. I'm really glad I found this forum, because I absolutely adore these books, and I'm happy to find that other people are as passionate about it as I am. 😊

In response to the question of what my favorite Beatles album is, I honestly have to say I really don't know. I could probably give am answer, but I'd have to listen to every Beatles album back to back and ponder the question hard to figure it out. (I think about these things quite deeply😅). However, I do listen to their album REVOLVER a lot. I'm not sure if it's my favorite though.

My favorite album by The Beatles is definitely Rubber Soul. It is a perfectly crafted package of thoughtful pop music, checkered with subtle experimentation as they began borrowing from new genres, but largely a masterpiece of the style they had been working toward since they were teenagers. It is also exquisitely produced, for 1965 or any time, especially when listening to the mono record; their arrangements allow the listener, like never before or after, to study the individual talents of John, Paul, George, or Ringo, as they please, or simply to sit back and hear how richly these sounds work together. While I do enjoy Revolver very much as well, I lament the inclusion of "Yellow Submarine" for its asinine children's lyrics, its undignified presentation of Ringo as a vocalist, and the fact that it was later given its own album anyway, the Yellow Submarine soundtrack. I also dislike the increasingly plain vision of what Paul would become for the group: a selfish creator, writing songs such as "Eleanor Rigby" that exclude any contribution from the other band-members, and the most nauseating sentimentalist ever to walk the earth, as his so-called granny music is emerging quite clearly in songs such as "Good Day Sunshine."

Since you are talking about it, have any of you ever watched the movie Yesterday? What did you think?

No, I haven't seen it, but I would really like to watch it. I've heard mixed reviews from critics.

Welcome, thebeatles1957! I'm sure you'll enjoy ATWQ if you get to it--you can also check out the ATWQ Re-Read threads on this forum to read along, if you like seeing people's comments to each chapter.
Apropos of Beatles, I've been listening to John Lennon's "Plastic Ono Band" album a lot the past few days--it's such a great album. Rawer than anything The Beatles ever did.
